With an auto in a 4banger, 5200rpm stall converter and antilag it still takes a good 15-20 seconds to get a very large turbo to spool. Anti lag works great on a manual, but it also puts a lot of heat on the turbo. Ever seen a melted turbo from antilag? Its not fun.

With the nitrous you can use it just to spool up the turbo at launch, will fully spool a 1000HP turbo for launch. Works really well.

Have you tuned a nitrous car, have you tuned turbo cars? Nitrous burns up rings, pistons, blows intake manifolds off cars and explodes motors. Turbos can make gobs of power and the motor will stay together. Its proven and done all the time in the drag world.

Yes nitrous in a small application does really well. Its when you start making 1000-3000HP on nitrous it starts blowing stuff up even when everything is good. You see it at the track all the time. Big tire nitrous car goes boom! Twin turbo small block making 3000hp doing passes over and over.

if you have a 3000hp methane drag car running 6 seconds on track day I doubt you would consider running nitrous anyways

your right about turbos not always being the answer... sometimes the answer is custom kydex holsters (link also in signature)
