So I've been dealing with them all week trying to figure out this sponsorship thing...
This is what they sent me.

OK boss so we had a chance to look over your build and after discussing it with our team we feel like your build does fit our general company direction. Based off of that we would like to go ahead and offer you the sponsorship position. If you're still interested we can go over the details and move from there please let us know

Our sponsorship program has been ongoing for nearly 4 years we focus our time and effort on sponsoring vehicles nation wide vs. spending revenue on useless advertisements. Now in our industry we all realize seeing a product in action is better proof of its quality, reliability and performance vs magazines spreads or tv ads.
Our sponsors are responsible for product testing, we regularly come out with new or updated products. Prior to these products being released for sale, we run them through there paces. And by "we" that's our sponsors, you guys are responsible for mounting our lights and providing feedback good or bad. That will help up redesign or improve existing or new models.
The products that are sent to sponsors are NOT to be sold, however they are yours to keep. There is no cost associated to you. Now as sponsors progress they receive the ability to request certain products, even if this item is not needed for testing. As a sponsor you are now part of the team, this means you will also get a Sponsor ID, this code doubles as your personal discount code to our entire store that can be used anytime for you or your family.
Now this program has limited spots, as we can only provide a handful of vehicles the attention they need. Many people are drawn to this program due to the fact you get free lights, just so we can be clear we are not looking for those people. We are looking for people who believe in the product and invested in providing non-biased feedback that will actually help us make our products better.
We filter through applicants that are just interested in free lights and those with real intentions by setting a initial order. The initial order is nothing more than to show us that you are serious about this. From past experience we have found that if a person is willing to invest his or her money into a company they will be more inclined to be honest with there feedback and not just tell us what we want to hear. The initial order has no min or max amount.
It just there to weed out sponsor applicants that are not here for the right reasons. And we have three different sponsorship levels for every persons build and budget. If this sounds like something you would want to do, then we can go ahead and get you the info on the three levels of the program and what they offer. Also all sponsors will be provided with decals on request, your sponsorship paperwork will be shipped with your order and will be the finalizing part of this program.

We have designed the sponsorship program to offer three different levels of sponsorship. Each level has its own benefits and is designed to allow every sponsor to have choice what products they want on there build. These levels are progressive so as your build needs rise you can always go up in levels according to your current build needs.
The first level would be considered a Standard Sponsor , these sponsors take advantage of our Led RockLights, followed by the full assortment of pods. An prototypes items falling in this category will be tagged for them to receive. This level of sponsorship is set on orders from $100-$200.
The second level would be the Advanced Level Sponsorship, this is the best choice for builds that need are looking for some mid-sized lighting. Our advanced sponsors are allocated everything that out standard sponsors receive with the addition of light bars ranging from our smallest 10" up to our 30" class of bars. Advanced sponsors have a threshold of $201-$400, based on your overall purchases.
The third level would be our Elite level sponsorship program, this is designed to offer the best build assistance for any style build. The Elite level sponsors get all the benefits given this far in addition to access to bars up to our 55" class range. This spreads across our entire line of products. Elite sponsors are based on a overall purchase history of $401 and up.
This program is progressive and there is not Min/Max that we expect any sponsor to spend on there initial order. These amount don't have to be reached at once, they are compounded with your purchase history. As your build progresses and your needs for our sponsorship widen you have full power to move up levels as needed. We offer a full array of product testing, decals, and sponsor aid.

Basically the more you invest into us the more we will invest into you. The elite sponsorship level is our highest and that's when you'll product test 50" and all the higher end products for us.

Wow, that looks almost identical to emails I receive from Nigeria. Just Nigerian emails are in all caps. But the concept is the same: send us some money and we promise we will give you back 10 times more. I wonder if the real name of Dan is Dr.Dan. and he is a former general who found a box of diamonds to give away :spy:

Same.. I should have research them before.I just noticed that when they post their 'Sponsoship' posts, they turn comments off and ask for DMs or Text Messages. I got literally the same Text in my instagram messages that were posted here. For the past two days Ive been asking about my order (placed May 31) to see if there is a shipping confirmation or if its done 'being assembled'. Dan said he would get back to me a couple times already. The most recent was today around 12:30, stated he was out for lunch and he would be back in the office soon with info on my order and what items I will be getting with the sponsorship. Does anyone on this thread or forum have access to large Toyota or Offroad IG accounts? Im thinking put them on blast about this thing they have going. Obviously they will just block and delete people for commenting on their posts, but they cant do much if the larger community speaks out. I've screenshot all of my conversation, gonna try to dispute too.

Unfortunately a friend of mine fell to this company too.

While he ultimately did get his lightbar, and an offer for "sponsorship" it took 4 weeks and him having to (unsurprisingly after reading this thread) dispute the charge with his bank. Only then did "Dan" call him and wonder why.

Been following here and I smell a scam ... basically this guy ( there is no "team", c'mon) scouts the 'gram and elsewhere on social media for mid-level builds (sorry guys, no offence they aren't going to sell any lights to a guy with a 50k dork bolt-on buildout) once he finds a target (yep that's you, the "mark") he uses a carefully crafted "proposal" , that if you read it closely sorta shames you into buying their top tier stuff/spending extra $.Even the levels : Standard/Advanced/Elite... who wants to be Standard(boo!) when you can be "Elite" for just x$ more! I feel Elite just thinking about it. Fck being Standard that's for losers.
One of the BBB reviews said that a potential sponsee (is that a word?) finally got in touch with fck after buying lights with the anticipation of being sponsored further. The person was told, sorry "all sales are final, thx bye". Because that is what this is. >> THIS IS A SALE. << hey, it's not your fault these salesmen can be very good at their job. Which is fooling you into shelling out that paper. I wouldn't leave my mom alone on a used car lot, god knows what she would end up buying, probably TWO cars. Because they would last twice as long as a regular car, driving them half-time.
This is steeply marked up chinese gear sold by an online MARKETING, not lighting, company (well, a guy.).
Another tip from the BBB is to not do business with a company that has NO WEBSITE. I mean who doesnt have a website. Or a business address, and I'm not talking about a mailbox. Google maps will tell you if the business Addy is a UPS store in 2 seconds. Just having a "presence on social media" doesn't legitimize anyone. I have a dozen accounts and I wouldn't expect anyone to take me seriously just because of that. If anything less serious.. a dozen? Really? (I don't )
They can just block you, and then you have to do a roundabout way of trying to track them down if you are lucky. Plus I heard tons of excuses, a red flag. These are meant to wear you down. I mean how many times is someone going to call before they give up and eat the 1-200$...."I'm out to lunch" "away from office for the week" yeah right this guys "office" is his jizz stained couch in mom's basement and he's sitting on it right now as we speak, in his boxers doing bong hits fiddling around on FB & IG looking for more suckers, all the while watching his phone ring and ring and ring, as you and other dissatisfied sponsee's (no way that is a word) try and track him down. I see others saying they are not able to reach him by phone. Cmon, unless you live in a cave ( would probably announce that) you are getting these phone calls, and dickishly choosing not to answer.
Has anyone found a happy and satisfied fck lightbars sponsored pro? I sure didn't see any on the BBB webpage, or here on TW, or anywhere..
Anyway that's my take on it....

TLDR? you got hustled, happens to the best of us. try and stop sale with your CC.

Caliraised has some decent quality for regular person prices.

    https://caliraisedled.com/

I had some cubes for my 2nd gen fog lights and like them - compared well to my neighbor's rigids when we put them side by side. Plenty of light for what I needed and decent quality.
