Interior space being at a premium, I found a better solution to carry extra gas, water and propane. The carrier swings out to accommodate lowering the tailgate and to hook up my Coleman stove. It's also re-moveable when I do not want to have it attached. It is designed so the it does not interfere with the back-up camera nor interfere with attaching my bike rack. Very pleased with the addition.

This is sweet! How do you secure what's in the carrier?

Also, this is not directly related, but could you post photos of your bed setup? I assume that is custom work?

Don't mean to derail, but what rear bumper is that? Looks clean!

I believe if you look close to the right side it looks like a small red light. Assuming brake and turn signal. And yes more pictures and details please. Very nice rack

Thanks. The carrier is outfitted with a rear break/turn signal light. The carrier was fabricated by Baja Fabrications, infor@bajafabrication.com.

The can are secured with regular tie-downs and I have a cable lock for security.
The interior of the cap includes cabinetry. I had Windoors installed in the Leer Cap for ease of access to load and unload. The Cap lifts 17 inches for head room. The lift is from Topper EZlift. Once lifted, tent canvas with windows and screens is deployed. I did not like the flip tops. The middle floor panel slide out and rests on runners on the cabinets to make a bed. I have the pictures attached.

The bumper is FabFour. It is very sturdy and good quality.

That is a sweet setup! You've got a great rig and took the opportunity to answer a lot of questions I'm sure you would have gotten after posting those pics, but going back to the topic of the post. About this tailgate carrier. How do you plan on securing whats inside? I see no straps. Magnets? Or you just don't plan on going to terrain rough enough to knock that stuff out?

EDIT: Nevermind, I just can't read.

    Thanks man

Just to give a little more clarity, on the picture you can see half-circle cut-outs. These are for the straps (not shown) so you could tie each can front to back individually, and/or strap across all three. The latter is all I do. The cans fit snugly, and have a rubber liner on the hole rim. Baja Fabrications does a lot or work for the Border Patrol vehicles plus raced in the Baja 500, so he really knows what he's doing for off road parts.

Can you tell me more about the way you Faison the top down for travel and more about the lifting cylinders? I would love to do this to my topper.

The lift is great. It is made by Topper EZlift https://www.topperezlift.com. It's all electric and has no hydraulics to worry about. I run it off my Aux battery. They say it's self installed but I took mine to my Leer dealer for installation. It sits on the truck bed and the lifters hold in secure, so it does not have to be fastened or re-fastened to the bed. The canvas sides are separate and available from the manufacturer. The canvas velcros in place. I went to a local sail maker and had them add rain flaps.

Really great set up you have put together! I was looking for more info on your rear bumper. I see that it is a fabfours. I do not see the model anywhere with the swing for 2016+. Any info would be much appreciated.
