did any of you guys change the sound leveliser (ASL) settings from page 291 of your manual to the "HIGH" position? I did this after installed the OEM audio plus system and it did seem to help...although the OEM audio system seemed to do away with most of that..

Anyone else have issues connecting the "data" to their phone? Mine head unit locks up and reboots every time I try to connect it to iPhone. Bluetooth and usb work just fine, but none of the "apps" will work.
    Maybe 3rd gen is different?

May want to try the 2nd Gen section bud. Solely because your head unit may have alot to do with it. But maybe by some off chance someone here may be from the 2nd gen to help you out. :notsure:

I have had radios by Pioneer for years, the sound level might be very different between AM/FM and CD, and AUX. I had SLA (sound level adjustment) available for the CD and AUX that I could add or subtract 4 to 10 decibels individually to make the level even between the three sources as you select them. Is there something like that available in these HU?

Here is a screenshot of the update details. Not terribly detailed.

I don't have HD radio in my area and therefore the Weather App grabs the data off my phone–which has been iffy. After the update, it seems much better.

I didn't read most of this thread but I'm pretty sure the over the air updates only update the apps, not the Entune system its self.

Mine worked flawlessly till this update. Now it tells me I need to have app open on my phone and then when I open the app on my phone it says tether error. Anyone experiencing this?

Anybody know what this even did? I updated mine and saw no difference but admit I didn't try very hard to notice. The only thing I still notice is that I still have the WORST satellite radio reception of any vehicle I've ever owned. I would love a fix for that...

Well I know that it did change the Pandora icon to the new one.... Other than that, probably nothing.

Any kind of system update like the XM issue you're experiencing would have to be a system flash done by the dealer... Not something that going to be a OTA update.

Not sure, but if you never downloaded the entune app, then you obviously don't use the apps in the entune system in your truck, so there's really no point in updating, as that's all the OTA updates "fix".

Yes, you need the Entune app on your phone and your phone paired with your HU. When you connect your phone to Entune thru bluetooth it will check for any updates if your phone has data or wifi available.

FYI, I the volume levels for each of the audio sources (FM, BT, Pandora, etc.) are independent of each other. Meaning, if the volume level of FM is 15 and you switch to BT, the volume level for BT won't be 15. It will be whatever it was when you were last listening to it.

If this makes you need the app on your phone to be open, that would make me happy. I was getting major issues with iHeartRadio and my music app on my phone. Entune/iHeartRadio would just take over the music app after about 30 seconds. It would do this even with the iHeartRadio app specifically turned off both on the phone and in the Entune app. I had to stop using iHeartRadio altogether and turn off the data in the Entune app so it wouldn't just take over. I would LIKE to use both because I don't own all the music I like to listen to. Hopefully this update fixes this problem.

Depending on the state you live in that nice looking 1911 (or so it appears) might have them watching you too. (Tinfoil hat person in CA here)
