Is it the same clearance all the way back as well? Can you fit 1.75" tube across the top easily at both ends of the blower?

 

Yeah clearance seems pretty uniform. I'll grab a couple of scrap pieces of 1.75" tube and lay them on top tonight and see if it shuts.

ok so I got an idea that might be retarded...... so I was thinkin of making a little box adapter to helmet fresh air hose thing that will attach over one of the AC vents in the cab so I can have cool air in my helmet when I'm wearing it.....thoughts?

 

Keep your cabin air filter clean.

 

It seems like you can make it easy enough. I'm sure you've tossed around ideas of how to make it work. I'd go for it. Certainly be helpful in hot days in the desert.

Cut off wheel to rivet head, air hammer rivet through frame.

 

Are you grinding the rivet heads off before you drill it?

 

This. Conner helped me with my dmz kit. I figured out that an air hammer saves so much time and frustration. Worth the investment, even if you need a compressor.

 

Just avoid the harbor freight air hammer hahaha

 

One hit with it and it died. Had to step up to kobalt

 

Yeah man! And you will have another tool. Totally worth the investment. Buy an air gun and you can use it to put your kit on too!

 

Grind the head flat and drill your hole all the way thru the rivet. I'd start with a 1/4" bit

 

Rivet diameter is close to 1/2". Drilling all the way thru makes a big difference

 

use a cut off wheel to cut an 'X' in the head of the rivet. then use a hammer and chisel to break off the head of the rivet. then use a regular punch and hammer to hit the rivet through the frame.
