Rattle-can on aftermarket bumper?

Did anyone do this?

Right now I have sliders and an avid light bar, which I hit with rustoleum hammered black. However, that paint isn't really black, it's sort of a gunmetal grey.

I was wondering what I'd do as far as color coordination if I got a black powdercoated Kennesaw/ARB/All-pro/Shrockworks bumper... I swear I'm straight, too, btw!

Thought maybe rattle-canning it with rustoleum would work (and save about $200) but didn't know if it looked like shit.

 

I rattle-can both bumper and sliders with satin black rust-oleum dosent look to bad.

 

Go for it. If it chips or gets scratched it will be a $3 touch up.

You're buying an offroad bumper. A bumper that will get scratched and able to take a beating (thats the whole reason you're buying one, isnt it?)

If you powercoat it and scratch that off, it's going to be hard to match the color. If you rattle can it, it'll be incredibly easy, as well as cheap.

 

i agree with^^^above statements...you got the sliders and bumbper to offroad and protect your shizz (and look badass of course)..

so why spend 200 bucks on something that WILL get scratched and chipped....instead spend like15-20 bucks and a bit of time prepping and itll look great but you wont have to worry if it gets scratched!
