I was told I had a "input bearing" going bad in transmission. Once started there is a moderate pitched noise from the truck but once I press the clutch in the noise disappears......anybody care to give me their thoughts ?

Throw-out bearing usually makes noise when you push the clutch in. Input bearing will quit making noise when you push the clutch in.

Throwout bearing. Common issue with these trucks.

From OP's issue with a noise until clutch is disengaged and mechanicjon's description of the times you hear noises from each bearing it sounds like it could be the input bearing.
