Damn, your garage is as big as my house.

 

I wanted a 3 bay but no room there so I would have had to put it behind the house.
Is only a 24x28.
Biggest one I could fit there.

 

Yeah it takes about 25' on the sides depending on pitch. We can squeeze it down to 18'.

 

Land is tight here. I wanted to build a 400sq ft room on the back of the house. City made me get a variance because I only had a 1 car garage.
At first they said I had to build a 2 car garage. Take out a chimney and half my living room, yes they were serious on a 1100 Sq ft house.

 

What does a 400 sq ft room on your house have to do with whether your garage is 1 or 2 car? Is this another example of SoCal Logic?

 

This I am interested in why ?

City of Glendale has stupid rules. They didn't want a 3 bedroom house to have a one car garage, too many people parking on the street. I can fit 2 cars in the driveway, and that's why they allowed a variance, that and a few thousand dollars and a public hearing

 

People are stupid

 

If I wanted to start camping it would be unhook and drive away. That's way to much work for me. Nice planning though

Yea I wasn't born yesterday. Day before maybe... But I win today.

 

The little victories mean a lot, and stacked up over time, amount to a lot.

 

Yes they are, a year and a half later I still don't have all the permits, my contractor died and the architect is AWOL. I don't have time but I have to go down to the city and get this thing rolling, I won't make any friends.

 

Time to pack and see about slipping on outta here. Have a good rest of the morning and day...catch ya'll a little bit later.
