I haul dead stuff all the time. It's a must for me to be able to hose out the cargo area.

Maybe if you drive like a dickhead. I got just under 25mpg on a recent 45mile trip

Is it a 4cyl? If so, that's why. I drive like a dickhead and get 14 in my 4Runner

No I usually go 5 to 10 over the limit, but I just take my foot off the gas and accelerate when going downhill instead of uphill

I only have around 1100 on the clock but so far I have gotten around 21mpg on average and that involves bumper to bumper traffic to work on weekdays

I know this is 3rd Gen. But I have been tossing it around and even spoke to the salesman at the Toyota dealership who I have been dealing with for a couple of years about possible 2018 TRD Pro 4Runner. My 2015 TRD Sport only has 11,000 miles on it. Pretty much garage kept and you can tell don't drive it much. Keeping the miles down on it incase I get a 4 runner.

The comparison of the Taco with the 4R is interesting because we too are very interested in buying a 4R (to replace our Camry) and to compliment our 2016 Taco/Sport. I too am a big fan of the Taco with the MT. Thankfully, I knew what I wanted to replace my 2010 Taco (it had an MT also) so I simply ordered it, sight unseen. I've got just under 30k on it now and have NO complaints. As for the dealers not having one....All need to understand that Toyota, and their dealers, opinions re. Manuals - 1) No body wants them...2) No one knows how to drive them...3) They are hard to sell....4) Therefore don't order any... (Repeat-Repeat). Many more would buy them, but we have this 'notion' that has become a self fulfilling prophesy. Let me assure the prospective buyer on this thread that they don't really need to drive one to appreciate it! You can order a Taco with an MT and be satisfied with your purchase...Which is more than I can say for those that elected to purchase the truck with an AT. Do I hear any supporters?

It comes down to this. Do you see yourself in more situations where you say "shit, if only I had the 4runner I could fit these people/kids in one car", or do you see yourself saying "shit, I wish I had a truck bed"

    that's it

You'd be nuts to sell the 2015. I would still have my 2013 if it didn't get hit.

Wouldn't you want the snow in the bed for added weight ?

You do not need added weight. The truck was great this winter and drove through some good storms ~30mi in 8" unplowed snow to help a friend who got too nervous to drive.

I'm the same height. Got pretty uncomfortable in long drives in the tacoma. Don't notice it as much in the 4Runner, but it was never unbearable
