I'd dare say it may depend on which plant the trucks came out of. I haven't checked into that yet.

Or......one guy on one shift who decided "lets use the GOOD anti seize and use a LOT of it " ?? Yes I do work in Industry (not automotive) and have seen people make decisions on their own that had a HUGE potential impact on product quality and safety. My employer makes a product that has a rating on it that was earned through testing and proving performance, somebody decided unilaterally at the hourly associate level to modify the process in a way that led to product that potentially is not up to specified requirements.

Even on our dealer letters there's only the explanation that there's more coating ... that's it. However, at least they recognize it.

I looked mine up earlier this week at the link provided, and mine is not on the list as far as I can tell.

It's not. It's spread across all V6 trims and seemingly random dates.

This is our 5th Toyota Pick Up and the 10th Toyota, kind of disappointed. Might be a new Ford F150 before the end of the year, we shall see.

Kind of wondering if anyone has experienced their window seals separating on the rear windows of the DC. I have informed my service manager but I will not take my truck in until the rear diff issue is resolved. There is no way in hell they are going to confiscate my truck until they figure this out. Mine is seeping and I'm also on the list for the CPS.

Yes, I've noticed this on my 2016. I push it up where it's supposed to be and it separates where it connects to itself in the bottom rear.... Mine had a crack of about 1/4", so I filled it with silicone for now...

Will likely see what they will do before the 3 yr. comes up... Maybe by then, they will acknowledge that it's an issue...

:annoyed: Just put my vin in and it's on the list for the cps recall.. 11/15.. I was suppose to take it in for service something this month.. Would they try to keep the truck?? Or do they have the new crank sensor already?

So if excesses anti corrosion material is the issue is it safe to assume there isn't actually anything wrong with the CPS sensors themselves and its a reaction to something happening with the excess coating? Would mean the repair is going to be a new control rod or remove the excess stuff?

But then how did replacing the CPS sensor for those that had CEL/stalling rectify the problem?

I thought I read there was a replacement CPS that wasn't affected by the extra anti corrosion stuff.

Yeah that's what I think too. No need to crack the engine open.

Yes, mine stalled 3 times on Saturday.. scary stuff .. doing 60 in the highway everything just shut down.

No codes, only thing that popped up was 'High Transmission Temp'. Don't know if that's the problem or if it just shows it because the car wasn't moving. waited 10 mins started up. 5 miles later same thing. Drove it this morning, no problems. Goes into the shop Wednesday.

    For the Cam Sensor, yes.

That was my first thought, but when the WTT showed up on the dash and letting it cool or sit for 10 mins, i figured something else might be wrong.
