Ok, I have $25, but sadly I don't know what CMC plates are. They sound important though...

 

If the dude above me doesn't take them, I will. I'm planning to go up in tire size very soon.

 

They are plates to close in the cab mount after you cut it to fit larger tires.

They're wide enough I believe. The only real issue I could think of would be the length of the truck.

 

The Ram Rebel is not much longer than a 2nd Gen DCLB

Length = 229" (19.08')
Width = 79.4" without electric mirrors folded in (6.61')

2012 Tacoma DCLB
Length -= 221" (18.4')
Width = 72.2" (6')

... but it probably weighs a ton more.

 

I think you'll be fine... Besides if you do get stuck you'll have plenty of real trucks around to help.

 

I have 214 000kms and my drums are still good... I cleaned them with brake cleaner and adjusted it a little. Still good for a while I think.

 

Just picked up a 3000w power inverter and 100' of 2/0 welding cable.im planning on running 4 lengths of the wire so I can hook up to both of the connections on the inverter. Apparently when you hit the peak (6000w) you need 2 negative and 2 positive connections on the same source or you can damage the unit. I'd like to be able to run any and all of my tools from my truck. Specifically my dewalt compressor for airing up after off roading.

CMC is done! No more rubbing now. Tires have about 1/2 inch of clearance now.

 

Good to know. I haven't opened it up yet. May just clean it up and go from there. I am hard on the brakes though so who knows. Just changed the fronts after 40,000km....

Lol stock sticking in others' bumper 40 000 km on oem pads? It seems pretty low tho

 

I got 120,000km on the original stuff. Put in ebc green stuff pads and slotted rotors. Got 40k on those. Now I put in stock replacements from ebc.

I drive in pretty hilly places. I think I cooked the brakes on the Cabot trail last year. Could smell them cooking in the hills.
