1st gen trd bilstiens

Am I the only person who isn't thrilled with the ride of my stock TRD package bilstiens? I know a lot of y'all have gone to the 5100s and I would love to but that isn't in the cards financially. I'm thinking about switching to the oem NON-TRD shocks. Thoughts on this?

 

trd isnt the billys, i think there the tokyos..or what ever it is.

 

DC's came with tokico's. i think the trd access cabs and had the billies maybe. not sure, but im sure someone that knows will chime in shortly.

 

Yerp...my DC has the tokicos...not sure about the rest.

 

TRD Access cabs had the yella billies on em.

 

He has a 2000, they all came w/ Billies on them, not Tokicos.

 

Off topic, but...are tokicos any good

 

As a whole, yes they are a very good shock company. They make the shocks for many vehicles as OE equipment especially Toyota.

 

not for offroading.

 

I think my next purchase, better be some new shocks. I noticed the other day that my passenger front is showing a little oil leakage.

 

My 04 has yellow billies on it and all 4 are shot. It rides like a boat so im gonna put 5100s on it as soon as they get them in stock again.

XCabs came with Billys, DCabs came with Tokicos.

I made no claim of reference as to "Xcab or Double cab." It was to OEM TRD shocks . from his statement he was saying that bilsteins weren't OEM TRD, is this not the case ?

No clue what I have.. buy my 04 dc rides like crap compared to my suburban.. and the suburban has 250k with stock shocks still on it
