Never got the point other than smokers. But cool. Never thought of that but would be good in rain. Just to keep Windows cracked help stop them fogging up

I did the AVS in channel and very happy with them. When it's super hot out, it's nice to leave the windows cracked and not have to worry about an afternoon shower as it keeps the truck a good 30 degrees cooler than not having them cracked (when sitting in the sun). Also good in the winter if you're wet or the snow melts off your boots and you get condensation inside. you can roll with the windows cracked without tons of wind in your face. keep that in mind too as it actually deflects the wind, but still circulates very well.

Ever get that buffeting sensation in your ears when you have your window cracked at speed, for whatever reason? You know the one, where you have to crack another window just to relieve the pressure sensation in your ears?...These reduce that immensely. Oh, and I smoke. And, I like fresh air...in the rain. And Pina Colada's (the last part is a lie)

And all the other benefits identified above. Mine are in channels...there really are no downsides to these

You are from Illinois. You ever notice dirt, dust, or grit all over your interior after leaving your windows cracked all day while parked in a parking lot? How about spiders getting in your truck shooting webs that get on your face when you are getting in the truck? Those 2 things are what I don't like about those vent visors.

I've been using AVS for 20ish years. I just put the in channel ones on my 2016. No noticeable wind noise. All the local places (Advance, AutoZone) wanted $100 for them. Got them from Amazon for $50.

I don't feel like i'm getting any more dust now, then I did before putting them on. I do notice the interior of this picks up dust quickly though! my last vehicle had leather, so maybe that's what cut down on it.

I only leave them cracked about an inch, so split the difference of how far down the visors come for that specific reason - I don't want crap blowing in or rain blowing sideways to get in. haven't seen any issues with bugs either, but I also roll with my windows down when it's >55 and <90.

I'm glad I put them in. didn't have them on my last vehicle, and had them on the one before that. probably do it to everything now moving forward

I find myself wanting AVS vent shades again after dealing with the snow this winter. When you're going through a drive through it seems to alleviate the snow/rain/water dripping into your interior by providing that slight bit of a push out. Also now that it is summer it would be nice to crack the windows so it isn't so damn hot inside when I return.

Nice truck man...wanna come and wax mine..??

OK...I'm sold... those things do actually have a place. Especially in the hot south, and for smokers....!!

Actually the "in channel" ones look pretty cool..... Just have not seen them in person around here yet.

I had the Weather Techs for a month or so. They are made in Germany. I sit high in the seats and my sight line was at the lower edge of the deflectors which was annoyance #1. #2 I heard more wind noise after installed. #3 these did not solve the buffeting when the windows are open. Now my ciggerette smoking friend has them in his '17 and loves them.
