Getting a C3100 code via the android torque app. What is a "C" code?

It hesitates off idle. Oxygen sensor just replaced.

Details are 2000 Tacoma 3.4 M/T. 240K miles. Work truck. Trying to get it going to sell for my good friends sister. Her husband was a plumber and drank himself to death. Right now we are just trying to get it squared away so we can get it sold and get some money for her and her 2 young kids.

    Thanks in advance.

    Reserected from the dead.
Google says it could be low pressure output of fuel pump or fuel system pressure.

I wasn't finding much on that code. Thanks for the feedback. Wondering if maybe fuel filter could cause that?

Code may be erroneous.. have you looked at condition of plugs, no rips in maf boot? It can be hard to verify but I've found lots of bad fuel injectors on hi mileage 3.4s..

The "C" means it is a chassis code and you should be able to pass smog with it as long as the CEL is not on. I hope you havent attempted to clear all the codes and reset all of the smog monitors... some can be a real bear to get back to the "ready" state.
For the hesitation I would look for false air leaks between the MAF and the throttle body first. Cracks in the air tube where it attaches to the TB are common.

The CEL light is on I believe. Right now the issue isn't passing smog, it's trying to sell the vehicle and people don't get too excited about buying a rig with a CEL. I don't know if he has cleared the code, but I imagine he has. Thanks for the tip on the intake hose, I will pass that along.

Update. After finding an air leak in the intake boot, and a loose ground problem persisted. Swapped coils and wires and cleaned throttle body. Still there. Cleaned MAF twice but still felt it could be that. It was. Runs great now,
