Any recommendations on a decent boot kit I can pick up today? If I can get the parts (and a big-ass socket) today, I might go for it. Getting a second wind.

Usually auto parts store has the sockets, got mine at O'rilleys... 35mm.
Boots tend to be an online thing, never tried a dealer though.

Usually the auto parts stores can get you a aftermarket one or have one on shelf also.
I still plan on fishing Friday. Need to check with Mr.Taliban on what his schedule of activities are.

Has anyone decided where exactly everyone will be camping this weekend? I plan on leaving Sac around 5-5:30pm on Friday, probably get to the trail head around 7pm.

I've only been to Eagle Lakes once before and it was in the winter and did not make it all the way to the lakes due to water/ice... If someone can PM me the area (location on map) that they plan to camp that would be very helpful! I know the road forks left to Pierce OHV area and have heard that there are some good camping spots around there. Not sure if everyone plans to camp by the lakes or near Pierce campground?

If anyone else plans on heading up Friday afternoon let me know so we can caravan.

I was planning on driving up from the South Bay area, but was planning on leaving Rocklin in the morning in WetTaco's (OP) caravan, if it's still happening. I've never been to the area, and have no idea what the plan is. I just recently figured out that Eagle Lakes was in The Tahoe area, and not Lassen County. Hopefully we'll receive more info this week on caravans, and routes to the campsite this week.

Camp area will be in the Pierce Ohv direction.

Hopefully I don't get screwed on the day off I requested.

I'm up way early than most, and if I'm off that day, will probably be up there before others head that way.
Will post up how far back in there I get a spot for us. Will leave markers for the rest of you all coming. I'm going fishing after I secure an area.

Yeah he got me all worked up to have a fishing buddy to go with this weekend.
Then as usual, everyone wants to go, then when the time comes, only a couple shows up.

Just giving you a hard time Jason, don't take it personally.

I have a spare cvj boot. But i think it was a long travel boot. It was rubbing on my coilover

If he doesnt, ill buy it. Doesnt hurt to have a spare. I love those boots
