    Creating this for my buds in the Food Smokers and Smoking Tips/Tricks/Techniques thread, but it's definitely open to all. Please post up alerts to meat specials in your US geo region. When you post, please use the following extremely simple format, referencing the USA regional map below for states covered:

    ---------------

    NW, Costco, Prime Brisket $3.49 per pound.

    ---------------

    Simple as that. Of course you can elaborate and BS, but that format should be at top of your post so everybody can quickly see it and say "shit, I have to go to <insert store here> now!".

    For location, just use the first letter of the word(s) in the region map below, like:

    NW = North West
    W = West
    MW = Mid West
    SW = South West
    NE = North East
    MA = Mid Atlantic
    SE = South East

    united_states_regions_labeled.jpg

    Below is a somewhat shitty map (but all I could find) of what major stores are in what region of the USA, in case you want to click back to this first post to see if there's a mentioned store in your area.

    Hope this works. Happy carnivoring!

    Actually, I think you and I had the idea together, I just did most of the legwork :) Either way, here's to hoping it actually works :cheers:

    That map is pretty goofy but just use it to find your state and if the store is in your state. Then use the upper map for the abbreviation. I don't know, we'll figger it out.

    And thanks :thumbsup:

    Screw you guys and your cheap briskets. I looked at one yesterday for $6.99 a pound. Didn't get it.

    I'm jealous. We NEVER see brisket anywhere even close to that price - typical sale price is $5/lb, and a good sale on St Louis Ribs here is $2.49/lb.

    Just make a drive down here. Lowest I've seen them is for .79/lb.
