I wasted my time and money trying to figure my lawn out, then I called Lawn Doctor. They are about $300 for 6-7 months of treatment, and they will make return trips for free, if the weeds are coming back or you aren't happy. They can also do aeration and other services.

The key to a healthy green, thick lawn is to make sure you're watering as long as possible, so the water soaks in.

Once you go Lawn Doctor or any of the copy cats, you are stuck and lawn will never look good if you stop them. Had a neighbor move and new people stopped and it was Weed city war I fought along our border.

My neighbors yard is like that, and mine is green and healthy. I should take a picture... it truly is a "grass is greener" situation. The nice thing is his weeds do not cross over to my side.

My yard is gross. It needed a TON of work when I moved in, landlord doesn't give a shit about it. It can't really get much worse than it is. It's his responsibility in our lease agreement and it never gets done. Last year we just sucked it up and rented some equipment and got it done - he ended up taking some off rent.. Half the yard is dirt so it's not that big of a PITA :anonymous:

This happened to my back door last year. Eventually shattered into a million pieces. Still hasn't been replaced....cough.

Got lucky though as whomever did it also shot out a bunch of car windows--mine wasn't one of them. Not much the cops could do to find the perps.

Awesome, thanks for the tips guys! @Madjik_Man, can you get the corn gluten meal and soil amendment at most major hardware stores, or should I look somewhere specific?

Patched it up Friday and got it installed. Want to clean it again then find a good protectant for it. might try 303 aerospace.

Stuff is pretty awesome. I would use it on convertible tops. Wash it like usual with car wash soap and a brush to get the dirt out, rinse and then spray the 303 on. Scrub it in with a brush and wipe it off with a wet rag (dont rinse). Makes it look like new.

I honestly don't know. I'm lucky to live near McGuckins in Boulder, who literally carries everything.

It's a trick. Use that and before you know it, you'll be knee high in Mary Jane and poppies.

Speaking of lawn, which is speaking of summer... which is speaking of heat... Anyone got a really good A/C guy? I need my system 'evaluated', per se. It's not terrible, but it's far from perfect.

    Hell no.

It's like $20 for a 50 lbs bag. And I just sling it around with a cup. No need for all these fancy doodads and gadgets.
