Today, in Moab, I came down hard on my crossmwmber that runs under the transfercase. It bent some of it backwards. I hit it with a BFH, but it is not bending back. Can this cause problems or should I even worry about it?

It wont cause a problem. but like stated, id hammer it back and get a skidplate over it for sure.

Pull the bolts out so you can really wail on it (make sure to support the cross member when bolts are out.

I didn't take the cross member off, but I was able to pound it back. I will be putting a skid plate over it
