Enjoy Colorado, brother, nephew along with a cousin and his folks there. Sending cooler weather with rain east now. Snow in the Sierra around me today. Did not freeze, so no worries with the garden.

    Morning all:
    Welcome Darrell !

Funny you guys are mentioning reading glasses, a buddy just sent me this email.
Seems like an older gentleman's daughter wanted him to be more active, so he joined a parachute club. When he proudly sent her a copy of his membership she immediately called him and said: dad, you better start wearing your glasses, that's a prostitute club not a parachute club. He replied: oh no, now I'm really in trouble, I signed up for 5 jumps a week!:laughing:

    WUT? Morning Sue

Hi Duane, didn't see any stoves, but did see a pair of old railroad lanterns. They were pretty neat looking. Not much else (to me) worth looking at.

Damn he's getting big Duane. Good camper to keep you company on your treks.

Welcome aboard Darrelll:wave:. One more year and I'll be joining you in a 70+ thread. By the way, Nice Tacoma. Enjoy and be safe on your trip to Colorado.

Morning Sue, didn't like that one eh :sorry: :pout:, I thought it was a cute reminder to wear reading glasses if the eyesight isn't the best anymore, easy to misread something!

For a thread that was started in 2011, it's still going strong; like us! 62 yr old here; 2001 Tacoma. Just logged a 1500+ trip from Michigan to Phily and back. Poor little 6-banger was working in those mountains on the Pennsylvania Turnpike!

Morning Ray Welcome to the porch. We have lost a few good folks and also picked up quite a few good folks. We have a young lady that stops in from time to time to make sure us geezers are staying out of trouble.

Morning Carl, I thought it was quite appropriate for this age groupo_O.

I survived the Flea market yesterday:thumbsup:. But now the wife wants to do the Brimfield Flea Market up there in CT. Walked around for over 4 hours and yes I did see some interesting stuff, but nothing I needed or wanted:rolleyes:. I think the phrase "One persons junk is another persons treasure" :hattip:. Have a good day.

Morning Rob, Speaking of Caliber, I used to be a >357, but now I've grown to be a .45...

    Morning Ken, if you're a .45, I'm 50 cal minimum.
The pups and I are managing. Kristi is on LoA from work through end of August. Don't know if you caught my post in the 50s thread, I'm trading my July 4th Whiskey Gulch fishing trip for a 6 day visit in PHX...the Grandpa in me is more motivated to go hug those grandkids, their Dad, and Grandma than to go fishing... despite 110+ degree heat ... :der:

Now I'm certain I'm not "grumpy old bastarding" right.

How about a "loving, caring grumpy old bastard". I would do anything for the kids and Grandkids as well. Even putting up 110* temps. Your a good man Rob{(even though you live in Alaska) just kidding}.

Hello 60's/wannabe's/n00bs/Susan. Quite a week for fresh faces!

Our Canadian Gran Prix race weekend was a success! A *heck* of a lot of walking but the backpack really helped. The weather was great, Carol was a real trooper throughout, and Montreal is a FANTASTIC city. I think we might just have to come back next year.

    Afternoon all:
Sounds like you had a good trip Dave!

    Welcome to the porch Ray.

Yes there is a lot of junk at them, but there are some also some good deals to be had if you can find what you are looking for, same goes for yard sales! I think ebay and yard sales really cut into what used to be at the flea market I went to for years, the stuff just isn't there like it once was.

Good to hear the backpack worked out for you...and that Carol did well.

Some flea market people have gone from selling to re-selling and worse. A former co-worker went to one and found a set of tools that had been stolen from him. Still had his initials etched on them.
Another guy went there and found big stacks of leather gloves...printed on the back "Property of UAL". This doesn't descibe the majority, but there are some shady ones out there.

    Morning all:
Often thought about that also, I'm sure there were some things there that were not obtained properly!
Funny thing you mentioned about your co-worker finding his tools with his initials etched on them, how did he make out on that?
A friend had tools stolen, also with his initials etched on them, found out who had them and couldn't prove they were his with just initials. His initials were G G,
Gerald George, Greg Gates, Gary Gray, Glen Grimes, etc., etc. He was told that just initials meant nothing, and if the guy that stole them could produce a receipt he would be the one in trouble if he pressed charges if I remember correctly.

    Good Morning all .
After all the rain and damp chilly weather we've had, I am not going to complain about the 90+ weather yesterday and today.

Morning Ken, glad it's here, glad when it's gone!
Mowed the yard yesterday, at least it looked like a yard that needed mowing and not a field that needed bailing!
Actually not too bad being outside yesterday, pretty comfortable without the high humidity.
