You can do 1 or 1.25 inches but spacers are not recommended. There are many opinions on them. Best to figure out why they are rubbing and fix uca, lca or spindle that maybe causing the issue. Just my opinion.

I would see if someone local with a little more Tacoma experience can take a look at it for you, that size shouldn't be rubbing whatsoever on the uca, do you have pics of where it is rubbing? I have the same tires on my stock wheels and they don't rub at all. To your original question most people go with spidertrax because they are hub centric, spacers could on the other hand make you rub in different places, I don't know the smallest size they make assuming it's around 1.25.

When was the last time you had an alignment done? Also have you lifted the truck at all?

Ha ha, I don't think he lifted it only having it for 2 days, but If it was done already it could have been done wrong, good question

Look into what these guys mentioned but if you do end up looking at spacers, Bora makes a 3/4 inch...

Bad alignment is the only thing I can think of to cause that size tire on stock wheels to rub the UCA.
It's doubtful he lifted it or put on a leveling spacer, but possible. That'll throw off the alignment.

Thanks guys. I put 1.25 spacers and fixed the problem. I also screwed up the tire size, they're 285/75/16.
Another question. So I got a stock looking height now, more nose down than even. I'd like a 3in lift but in the military and don't have the money to spend on fabtech or procomp. Just looking for looks more than performance. I go off road maybe once every two months. Any suggestions?

Fabtech and procomp are actually both shit, very few may try to defend that, what you need to do first is try to find out what suspension you are on currently and then we could probably be able to help you out a little better from there. If you don't know what your running a lot can be figured out with pics

Even with the lift those tires are still goimg to rub most likey. Typically, you will need to do the cmc (cab mount chop). Tires will rub on that area unless you cut and weld in new plates. Most shops will do it for arounf 120.00, but you still have travel up issues in tot he fender flare and wheel well. Hammer pinch weld flat. Your answer to a decent lift is a set of bilstein 5100 adjustables in the front, set on next to highest level and put in a deaver aal (add a leaf) and keep the overload in. Bilstein Shocks, the deaver aal, new leaf center pins, cmc, and hammer pinch weld to solve rubbing issue. If it rubbing lca or uca then you may need to upgrade those as well. Or you can go to a smaller tire. Our tire width can not be more 10 inches wide or it rubs and mods need to be done. Gl with the decision to cut and hammer or go smaller.

Since you don't off-road much a spacer lift would work for you. Kits are around 150 to 250. UCA's would be needed if you go over 2.5 inches.

Why would you suggest such things?

For real though, he may already be lifted, we don't know

I started to post how the alignment does not cause or fix control arm rubbage.

That the whole assembly moves together.
AND, that OP either needs narrower tires, the correct BS on his wheels, or spacers.

Then, I saw that he'd already gotten his answer. I figured why get involved

Figure out what you already have and go from there. If it's easier, just take a picture of the front coilover assembly. We'll be able to assist you from there.

If you're truck isn't lifted already, keep in mind you will need UCA's above 2". I'm sitting at 1.6" in the front right now and it's on the edge of needing UCA's. Spacers on top of the shock will provide lift but at the detriment of performance.

The best bang for your buck is probably a set of Bilstein 5100's or OME shocks, new coils(Eibach, OME), an add a leaf, and UCA's. You'll be out around $1k but it will be done right.

That's the setup I'm going w/ as my suspension. Putting 285/75/16s on my stock suspension. Already have CMC plates ready to go!

    I have 285/75/16 KO2s

They rubbed my UCAs at first
    I got Spydertrax 1.25" spacers
That got the rub off of my UCAs but then was on my cab mount.

Chopped that (along with some fender well), haven't welded on new plates but I spray painted to defend against rust & most importantly there's no more rubbing
