Howdy all. I'm not dead; just been running around. My buddy from San Diego flew into NYC last week for training, so I drove up Thursday after work to hang out for the weekend. It was a fun trip if not expensive AF. We went all over town, ate some excellent food, and saw Time Square, Central Park, the One World Tower, Grand Central Station, and the Chrysler Building. We also visited the 9/11 Memorial, the Empire State Building, the NYC Library, and went to a Broadway show.

Based on #2 on the list that @Fish12South posted, I would guess that they should fail because they're not the same type. You're changing halogen bulbs to HID bulbs. But like others have said it is all going to depend on the inspector and how closely they look.

I'm sure you could make it work. Just drill holes where you need them.

Looks great. Bummer about the flare mishap. As was mentioned, plugs may be a good solution.

I'm pretty sure they're factory springs. My recall springs are marked with a + and CD. Didn't crawl in the dirt/gravel to look underneath for any other markings. Sounds like a fun trip. I always think about taking a trip to NYC, but then I remember that I hate big cities and tons of people.

I'm thinking they're talking about matching bulb type left and right. But I could be wrong.

I put it on and asked a friend of mine his opinion, and he couldn't tell where I messed it up until I pointed it out. So they're on again. But I'm ordering some trim that will hopefully make me feel better about it.

I thought so too. That overload just looked funny to me. From what I was told, the rest of the truck had OME shocks all the way around and OME springs up front.

I'm wondering if it would be worth it to take the 2nd or 3rd (or both) leaf out of that pack and put it in mine. Takes some work, but I've done it before with some S10 springs on an old XJ Cherokee I had and had pretty good results.

Then again, I kind of already knew going into it I was going to have to get some new 650 or 700 pound springs for the Kings up front and I was thinking a 3 leaf AAL for the rear after I put the armor on.

It just never stops...

Good morning everyone! The weather is great to out and change the rear diff oil. Out I go!

Edit: Done by 10! Quick and easy. One thing no write up tells is to remove the spare tire so you can tip the bottles for the oil.

 

I'm still trying to clean out my garage, anyone interested in the stock exhaust from a dcsb. I also have transmission fluid, was going to flush my last truck but sold it. Someone must want to do a trans flush?

 

The weather is nice. I'm at the subie dealer getting the 12k service on my car. Colonial Beach is having the Potomac River Festival this weekend. I need to mow the yard this weekend, and I may try to was one or both of the vehicles. Maybe work on installing the ditch lights that I bought a while ago. The brackets don't fit quite right, so I need to make them work.

 

Well, I was gonna continue on the air horns project but when we woke up this morning, the little dog left us a whole bunch of bloody poop on the kitchen floor. So off to the vet we went.

Some kind of bacterial infection in her intestines. She probably ate something off the ground when we were outside for a pee break.

Still never been there. I like going to Castiglia's for an original calzone....best around IMO.
