Anyone running 5100s with 887 coils but have the 5100s set on the 1st 0.85" setting? Mine are currently at "0" up front but I was thinking about cranking them up to the 1st notch since my rear is about 3" higher than the front.

    Thoughts?

Well I wanted the springs to settle because I was sitting at 4" of lift up front when they first went on, and now the front is at 3". I love the ride the way it is and don't want to jack it up with too much preload. Running 285/75R16 Goodyear MTRs.

Thinking about it! I could also get a 0.5" top plate spacer that would help as well which would be an easier option and per Headstrong's site:

"These spacers go on top of the strut mount and do NOT change the quality of ride. The lift is achieved simply by positioning the strut assembly down 1/2", which translates to approximately 1" of lift (1/2" spacing is accentuated down to the LCAs and out to the wheels thus resulting in approximately 1" lift)."

Have any of you changed front shocks around the 100k mile mark? If so did you have wear on the top hats? I'm going to do my front shocks and want to know if I should expect to replace my top hats also. Just keeping it stock with bilsteins.

    thanks.

Keeping it pretty stock w/ creature comforts to come in the future.
Bought a 2010 TRD OR DCSB this last weekend. 2nd Tacoma, first 2nd gen. Really stoked. Already have found a ton of knowledge in these forums and am looking forward to seeing where things go.IMG_3045.jpg
