Uniden Pro520XL. Its mounted in front of the cupholders. but you will need to cut your interior. Not sure if you are ok with that. @Lots2Learn58 has his mounted on the side, next to his right knee

I like my uniden 520xl but @Coot83 and @90yota also have a pretty sweet hand held set up. They all are about the same. You just want a good antenna location and have it tuned properly.

I just didnt want to drop over $100 on a cb setup

 

Stupid question time: I'm thinking about getting some of Headstrong's 0.5" top plate spacers to add up front because my rear is about 3" higher than the front. Will I need to get a new alignment if I do this??

Lol I don't want to lower anything! I didn't even realize stacking top plate spacers was a thing. I was just going to add a single 0.5" spacer on either side.

 

Yes, and you will also need to disassemble the coilovers to put longer top bolts in.

 

I gotta go with David on this one, add a swing out on your rear bumper, and get some armor on there.

 

you probably wont need to do that. You do have to look at how much thread is showing on the top of the coilovers. I would guess you need at least 3-4 threads to safely grip the nut on the top. But dont quote me, because I do plenty of things that are not "safe"

 

Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road told me that you need to replace the bolts to use 0.5" spacers, thats why i didn't do it.

 

Yeah looks like Headstrong sells the longer bolts needed with the top plate spacers.

so this is why I was MIA last night:
I got off work, and drove to eastern fucking shore in Maryland to pick up a gigantic fucking desk for Karen... then drove 3 hours home.... on a work night.

 

I am going to Emporia VA tomorrow night.. but its not a work night for me. Hoping to install my ditch lights, but I might wait for these other fools

 

I am just lift / wheels / tires shopping.... ugh. shit is expensive... I'm looking at like $3,500 for just lift, wheels, tires.
