But your noting going to go out to ride and camp at the same time all the time. Any day trips it's easier for the bike to be in the bed.

    Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Colorado!!!

So people on law enforcement experience....why does the dispatcher always ask for my date of birth when I call the PD to file a report? Is that normal or a Lakewood thing?

Yesterday I filed a report since work windows were shot at, the cop who came to take a report asked for the same thing? :burp:

Maybe not, but I usually forget to take the tent off right away, so it'll sit on for a couple weeks at a time.

Even if you are just filing a report? I have called Westminster PD and they have never asked for D.O B

That's where I'm at right now - sorting out priorities.
My farfetched vision is to race the RMEC and local motos competitively again.

Yes. You're probably just a frequent flier in Westminster.

Name and DOB should be minimal info. Usually contact info as well. If it was worth your time to report something, they may need more information at some point and need to get in touch with you. There are a lot of people with the same name, but not the same name and DOB.

Of course, there are plenty of conspiracy people who get all riled up that they are going to be in a database and the world is going to end. But an anonymous report is taken with a larger grain of salt.

In a perfect world I'd of course like my home I'm buying to be my last. I highly doubt seeing myself moving straight into a home once I move back, which I still have 6+ months until that happens anyway.
It'll be hard to not spend my monies on truck stuff and toys while I'm waiting to get a house haha

Even if you want it to be your last, it'd be hard paying $400k and then in 6 months it being worth only $370k (which only takes a lull in buyers). You could've purchased some nice truck parts for that! I've been there done that, and that was well after the market crashed.

Even though people think the main mortgage lending practices that were part of the issue of the 2007/08 have been fixed and outlawed... They haven't, they only stopped shortly and started doing the same shit with a different name. Lenders are still loaning out shit tons of money to people who are only one small hiccup from the downward spiral of missing one mortgage payment. So, the ingredients are there... Just waiting for the chef to arrive.

    It explains it pretty well.

But the main issue is the American consumerism. Everyone wants a house that's huge and too expensive, then furnish it with expensive furniture they never use. Then the market is going up, so they take out a heloc on the "equity" to buy a new land rover or two. Then they scrape by every month hating life but having shiny things until an unexpected bill comes and the Jenga tower comes crashing down.

I have friends who have recently purchased and was very shocked at what they "qualified" for knowing the other factors. And naturally if you qualify for that, you usually spend it all!

But as you can tell I go well against the grain as far as managing money, so for most... There's nothing wrong with it.

Exactly. And that's why the same shit has been happening since the last crash. If there's money to be made, it'll continue!

Yup, this is the key to watch out for. Understand what you qualify for, but actually look at what you can comfortably spend on a monthly mortgage(plus ins, taxes, hoa) with the down payment you can afford(while still having money left over to cover that mortgage for 6+ mos), then base your search on home values in that range.

When we moved up here we could have qualified for and bought a house in Boulder(the Orange County of Colorado for real estate prices), but we wanted to have the ability to have money to play while still putting money away. Unfortunately we bought a bigger house than we wanted simply because we couldn't compete 2 years ago from so far away and buying new was the easiest way, so we now have a house filled with stuff we don't use just to fill the space. Next time I'm in this situation I'm going to move and rent first so I can figure out exactly where I want to be and find that smaller home(with a big garage or space for one of course :D).

We're actually thinking about selling now since we gained a little in the last two years and then wait for the next dip before jumping back in with cash on hand.
