That's my new life goal be the likes guy @ChadsPride I don't have any social media so this is it. Goals in this order good truck, wife, house, checked catch chad on tw.

 

I think the next big trip we're going to do will be Alaska. Luckily, I have over a year to plan and prep for that.

Bro best advice carry 10 gallons of fuel you can go 300 mi without seeing a gas station I found out the hard way thru Canada.

 

My parents are doing that prob next year. They want us to go with.

 

Bed space is gonna be so tight at that point, have to relocate the gas tank into the bed to setup a 4link in the rear, so probably run a 26 gallon fuel cell in the back... plus the shock hoops and the RTT on top (if everything goes to plan, of course). Would probably have to grab a roof rack for more storage, maybe fab up a swingout with some jerry can holders, who knows yet. I plan on grabbing a cheap Jeep bumper swingout though and making it work with my bumper by swapping the 5 lug for either a 6 lug hub or wheel spacer

 

I went late in the season last year to Juneau in September. They were not that bad until we started bushwacking through the temperate rainforest. But we were covered in rain gear the whole time so they didn't bother too bad.

 

Are they making the drive all the way out? Or are they going to be smart and do the cruise?

I'm considering on having my truck shipped up north and picking it up at the Canadian border.

 

There is a ferry in Washington you can take to south AK don't know all the details about it.

 

When I was in college I worked for Kona Ice. They started me off at $10 an hour. You drive an ice cream truck, give people a cup of ice and let them do their thing. You get paid to drive a truck to events, give people cups of ice, not screw up counting, and keep things stocked. You're practically your own manager. I would strongly recommend looking at Kona ice here in Austin.

Never even thought about that... i'll look into it. The issue is, I go back to Lubbock on August 14th, and leave very spuratically for appointments and the such. Would they be ok with hiring on someone they knew was leaving in two months?

I used to work for Charles Maund, and my (real) boss was one of the best guys ever... honestly. But the environment was so toxic outside of him and two other people it wasn't worth the constant stress in between school, not even for the pay.
