    Hey all,

Long story short I may want out of my 2017 build due to some financial issues. Problem is I'm sort of mid build, and this is an expensive truck. Looking for any advice / ideas of the direction I could go to unload it. Maybe someone on the forum is looking for a truck like mine.

I fully financed the truck through my local credit union and I was $45000 out the door including taxes tags and a ARE Z series cap.

Truck is MGM TRD OR LB DC with JBL and a Black Interior and tow package.

    Completed Mods:

    ARE Z Series Cap
Procomp 17" wheels (0mm offset) with TOYO 285/70/17 tires and full size spare
    Clazzio Leather Seat Covers (Black)
4.88 Nitro Re-gear with ARB Front Locker (air control not yet installed)

Mods on my Bench waiting for install:

    Morimoto 35W HID Headlights
    Morimoto H2 LED High Beams
    Morimoto LED Fog lights
    Onboard Air System
    Bilstein 5100 Front Shocks
    Trailer Brake Controller P3 Prodigy

Truck has 3500 miles on it.

I'll probably end up just being poor and keeping the truck, but I'm curious as to what you all think I could get for it and how.

My first thought is to stay off TW so you quit spending money on pricey mods lol!

Second, you're super upside down in that truck. Keep it and suffer thru.

Your paid a premium for that truck.... the unfortunate part is if you unload and sell it your going to be out thousands. I would sell the mods and focus on the truck payments until your in a spot to mod again.

Just my 2 cents, but if your in a financial hardship and need it gone it might be worth the couple thousand dollar loss for piece of mind? Tough call

I am sure you want someone to tell you different, but the fact is, you get no money for mods in the real world.

Nothing more to add, some sound advice up there.

When you are ready, get yourself a 2nd gen. You'll like the payments better and you can use most of the mods you have.

Yep. Mods are worth nothing on a vehicle, unless it was modded before it was sold new. Take everything back off, sell it in pieces and sell your back to stock truck to get the most money. With that said you will still be taking a big bath.

Ooh boy that is a tight spot. I agree you will get most for the mods by stripping and selling/returning what you can. Then you could sell private party to squeeze every dime you can, and you will probably still be negative in the loan after adding the cash from mods to what you get for the truck. Might be worth it to do that and eat what you have to on the loan.

Do you have another vehicle to drive?

With the devaluation of the 3rd gens due to problems and recalls, you're in a hard place. You stand to loose thousands if you get rid of it.

Probably best to hold onto it until times get better.

If it was me, I'd sell what I could then trade in the truck for something with lower payments. Older second gen maybe? You'll still get a good truck and your life will be easier. Don't be truck poor. That's no way to live.

Make the truck OEM. Sell all aftermarket parts.

Go to carmax- they will give you a written trade in/quote/offer good for seven days. Then decide.

A bath now might be much cheaper in the long run.

That seems crazy to me. I saw some nice 2014 TRD ORs for 25-28k when I was looking for my truck.

Sell all the aftermarket parts that you do t need in the first place and lessen your resale value anyways.
