Thanks for this, 2,500 miles and mine is squeaking all of the time. Going to try this and to your point I can live with once a month if that's where I end up.

 

Along the same idea... I pressure washed mine out thoroughly and let them dry when my truck was up on jack stands. I then gave them a "generous" coat of oil undercoating and they have been silent from around 1k miles all the way til 25k. They still aren't making noise. Going to re-coat them this fall when I do the rest of my truck.

 

I know it's just a concept, but I still had an Ewok arm in my pants while watching this.

So the lift I did last weekend... Finally got the alignment and wheels and tires done!

The dealership didn't do anything for me, twice. I just ended up doing the temporary WD-40 fix and I haven't heard it squeak for over a month. Will move to a graphite or lithium spray over WD-40 the next time I hear the squeaking

I couldn't agree more, I have a black 17' and it's disgusting all the little scratches and swirls. The clear coat on this truck is week as shit, I'm very particular and careful with my truck too. Very frustrating to say the least, for the money we pay for these trucks the paint quality should be better...

Another hot day in Pa so I limited the work on the truck to a decal application. Butt dyno says at least 7 horsepower increase.

 

Got my 20000k service done. Oil changed. Cabin filter changed. And a 4 wheel alignment done. Had some weird wearing on the tires. It was off. They showed me on the computer alignment machine. My right front tire was off pretty good. Darn off roading adventures...

 

Dropped off my truck this morning for the long awaited Katskin's install. Should be able to pick it up by the end of the day.

 

At least they are not parked right up close to you.
