    It happens. I've gotten few "mad-dog stares" until I say "nice truck"- then they turn down the Art Laboe Oldies CD and talk to you for a bit. That's what happens when you live in the hood where everyone has something to prove. I'm used to it. I grew up in a far rougher area than where I live now.

    You don't grow up in East LA and not know who Art Laboe is. Back when my mod wish-list included 14" 100-spoke deep dish Daytons, 4pumps-3dumps and a naked Aztec girl airbrushed on the hood. Damn good thing I got an education and got the hell out of there.
