They seemed to work really well out in the Puerco that day.

 

They were $215 each (I think). I joined Tread Lightly for $25. That qualified me for a $100 rebate. That balanced to $75 off. Discount Tire also gave me $160 for my stock tires. I passed on the added warranty and stuck with the included pro-rated one.

Yes, they did. I've had them on snowy/icy roads, deepish snow, mud, sand stone, etc. Just about everywhere. They have impressed me on every terrain.

Nothing special. It's not like I haggled them down or anything. I just did my research and took advantage of what was available. I was planning to sell my stock tires for like $200 in the paper or something. When they offered me $160 on the spot, I jumped on it.

I didn't either. He was talking about $9 each disposal fee, which I was going to decline to sell them myself, then he goes out to the truck to check mileage and stuff, comes back and offers me $40 each for them. "Uh, sure, ok, yeah, I'll do that." One tire paid for, cha-ching!

 

Heading over to New Mexico Mon. to visit Chaco NHP.
Heard many great stories about the site so we want to visit.
Also going to Santa Fe while we are there for a few days.

Hope to see a few Tacomas running around there.
any suggestions or spots to take in for a couple Zonies visiting?

 

Chaco is great. How long are you here? There's a few points of interest. Looking for more ruins? Mesa Verde NP, 2 hours north in SW Colorado and Canyon de Chelly in AZ are both amazing. They could easily be worked into a loop back home.

Santa Fe has a lot. Check the famous old church that I can't remember the name of. Shoot up to Taos too.

We were at Canyon De Chelly last summer and Mesa Verde the year before. We ran into folks at both places that recomended Chaco.
Took a tour in Canyon De Chelly in an old Duece and a half military surplus 6X6. The driver was busy with the stock gear shifters and 2 speed rearend. Talk about a stiff rough 8 hours in a truck.
Well worth it to see the ruins.
We will be there from Mon. the 15th and heading back Thurs. the 18th.

 

Taos it is then. I've heard there is some cool Puebloan stuff in the area too.

So about the wheel painting.

Ill do a set of four for 50.00. That is mainly for the labor it takes to prep the wheels for the paint. That cost will obviously be less for less work. That will also cover my cost for the paint for whatever color you want and still lets me put a little into my pocket for future mods. But I enjoy doing it and I should be able to get them all done in a day.

Let me know what you guys want with your wheels and what paint and color you want.

Just let me know what color you want and Ill get the paint. If you want a specific brand of paint I can get that as well.

And Ill do any color you want, their your wheels.

Yes I would need the wheels off of the truck. That way the paint settle's evenly.
