Damn you! My next purchase is going to have to be the Saturn V though. Incredible set. I have a birthday in Novermber, it should still be around by then haha.

I downloaded the instructions. I may have to start saving for this. Quite impressive, and the leg attachments are substantial

@EODTRD this set was a lot more expensive, and the legs attached with a single Technic pin, so very unstable.

I came home from work and built these today. #7143 Jedi Starfighter and #7251 Darth Vader Transformation. I think the Jedi starfighter is underrated and can be found for cheap.

Not a bad deal, $200 for 2,400 parts.

Something to watch while you yearn for the Saturn 5 kit

I don't think lego anticipated how popular the Saturn V is. I think it will be produced for a very long time.

That's the old set right? The one that came with the other 2 podracers

I can contribute to this thread. I built this for my son last week.

I wish the tan bricks connecting the pod to the engines were clear.

(Actually I wish the black tubing was metal and could support the pod without having all the bricks in between)

No this one was before that set. It was a stand alone racer

I would love to have all 3 but I am out of display space at the moment. It takes time for sure to look for all the parts if they aren't sorted. It's relaxing to me though

and in the "Argh!" category we have this small problem. I ordered the correct parts to upgrade my home EV3 set to the educational set. Only missing one 40 tooth gear, since the vendor only had one. I figured I could get away with it, since the builds don't use all the available parts. Well, the build I selected does use both gears.
I got all the way to step 103, and there it was, one more 40 tooth gear, and I already used the one I had.

Argh! Back to Brickline for an additional gear.

Most parts I buy on bricklink are pretty cheap so I normally buy a few of them. If I need 1 2x4 tile to finish a set, then getting 2 or 3 is even better.
