I've sat at the drag strip in the middle of August with no AC and black leather seats. It's not that bad.

 

First thing I thought of was

hey guys, Im starting to plan a road trip. I want to hit all the NE states. This is my first draft on the map. I need to go to Lake Placid. But after that I am open. I dont need to be on the highway the whole time, but I will probably not be in full off road mode, because I need to make it back home.

Any/all suggestions are welcome. @Boston10Taco @DoubleRGirl

 

They had plenty of the 6K small ones that we bought for our bedroom. The bigger ones 12K-14K they only had a few

Depends on the day but I'd venture to say I would disagree with you

 

i personally hate new england. but newport, ri is one of my favorite places

 

i was trying to avoid being on 95, but ill check it out

 

where would you be coming from? i can give you back ways into newport, but to pass through ri and ct you're gonna have to be on it

 

I would say avoid RI!

 

If you need to hit Lake Placid, I would continue north toward Lake Champlain. Take the Ferry across into VT, then across northern VT and northern NH and into Maine. Then loop down from Maine, into MA and hit RI on your way out. And haul ass through CT just to say you were there
In northern VT and NH, there are a lot of camping and hiking places.

 

nothing is set in stone yet, but I wanted to at least pass through Boston

 

i would say avoid this whole part of the country but it sounds like that would defeat the purpose of his trip hehe

 

Hey what gear ratio did you go with? I saw you went down to ECGS.

 

you'll need 7 hours to drive from one end of boston to the other, and then to get through traffic leaving the greater metro area

 

I definitely want to go to Burlington and Portland. Not sure about the rest

 

I got 4.56. So city/low end torque/mpg is good, highway not so much. If I get over 200 miles to a tank of gas, I am happy.

 

i went from the adirondaks into burlington a really pretty way. i have no idea how i went but didn't have to take the ferry

 

that's good, you won't be going more than 10mph within 15 miles of boston
