Hey guys. I got to witness a 407,000 mile white access cab 4x4 the other day. It belongs to a guy that travels around and does window tinting. I had seen it when it had just over 200,000 miles 4-5 years ago years ago when he tinted the windows on my 1998 Dodge. He told me then that he would keep the Tacoma until it quit...guess he wasn't kidding. He said all he has ever done is regular maintenance. Wish I had a camera; it was a nice truck with aftermarket wheels, etc. I asked him what his next pickup would be. He pointed to a 2008 Silver Double Cab Tacoma Sport in the parking lot. He said "exactly like that one." I told him it was mine and he grinned ear to ear and went over to look at it up close.
Anyway, I was excited and thought I would share. Hope I can get 400,000 out of my 2nd gen!

There is still a Tacoma driving around that has over 732K on it. Last time I saw that it was over a year+ ago. Was a 2.4L single cab with a camper shell, all the guy did was add oil.

Holy.... My neighbor has an early 90's Chevy 3/4 ton with almost 400,000 miles. Three engines, two transmissions, one transfer case, and one rear end later. Oh and 8 windshields. LOL

I had an 85 toyota 2x4 pickup before i bought my 2004, and I had over 340K miles on it when I traded it off. Great thing is; i still got $1500 for it, at 19 years old. How's that for good stuff. I know it was 19 years worth of miles. In the 8 years that I had the truck, I put over 200k miles on it.

Was a manual too, that's a lot of clutch leg work!

my grandpa had an 89 Ford bronco that had 400k+ miles on it. He sold it for $2,000 and it is stll on the road today. Nothing ever went wrong with it, no replacement anything.

Sad but true. No vehicle made today for that matter, they just don't make them like they used to.

Ha it is a manual. Never looked at it that way. His left leg should be very strong (or worn out) for a 72 year old.

The only car I have seen with that kind of mileage was my first car. I actually got to see it tick off to 800,000 miles haha ended up with nearly 900,000 once it finally blew a piston bearing on me. It was a 1967 saab model 96. Great car haha
