    JULY 1ST WEEKEND!

Anyone want to come to Barnwell? Thinking about going and getting a bunkhouse... may do Friday and Saturday night, or just Saturday night.

But first weekend off so want to get a little wheeling in and get out of Tyler for the weekend... may try and see if my dad will bring out his pretty stock Jeep Sahara Edition.

Would be more willing to try different trails if I was with other people I knew.

Ah... I have been planning on use a custom google map with mapping, stops and such... it helps a ton.

Didn't think about using google maps for that really. The place we are going would be Lake City. I've been going to this area since I was a kid, probably well over 20 trips in all. I can pretty much plan it all out in my head at this point. Would be a little different with a group, but should be fun.

I'm actually going this Saturday and staying for a week with my fam. I was getting pretty hyped about it and thought maybe a Tacoma trip would be fun next year.

    Solid plan.

I will probably be getting a 4wd end of next year and the wife already has plans for the Alpine Loop. So I'd unfortunately be going around there no sooner than summer 2019. I will be in CO in a few weeks, just not in that area though.

Later in the summer, I bet you get could around the loop itself with a 2wd. The only issue is not having 4L on the down grades. The loop is not all that technical... but it is beautiful.

Edit: Where in CO are yall going?

Yeah I know most of it is 2wd friendly, but I heard mineral creek trail, engineer pass had a few iffy areas where I'd rather be safe than sorry. I also wanted to head down Corckscrew gulch and California gulch to see the Red Mountains and Lake Como

It is not really Google Maps. But actual custom Google Maps that you can plot a route along with stops and all that and then share that with other people that can also be edited and all that.

ah... if you include Mineral Creek as part of the loop.. then no... you cannot in 2wd. Mineral Creek has been pretty rough in some years.

So far it has done everything I have wanted it to for planning the trip.

I just like that I can easily share it and everything with people.

Pagosa Springs. The wife's family has been going to the same place for the past 30 years.

I may be up for this. Wont have skids by then so I would be a little cautious of going on to hard of a trail but I could ride and spot if I'm not up for driving it. Even with stock skids I think if i'm careful I could do some 4's and all 3's

Works for me man. I won't do anything too crazy, but I just want to go out there for the holiday weekend and try and get my dad to come out in the Jeep since he has said he wanted to see how it runs. But has not been able to and I know he is off that weekend as well.

Nice! I can understand why they keep going. I started going to Lake City in the early 90's and have only missed a few years in there somewhere due to various major life events.

Anybody have Bilstein 5100/OME 888 front/OME Dakar rear?

And same question but King 2.5 coilovers/King 2.5 rear shocks/OME Dakar rear spring? Preferably the non-adjustable as I just dont see my self ever adjusting them...

Im contemplating back and forth between these two for my new 17. Would also do the Total Chaos UCA's with either setup.

Price difference is like 1300 between the two options and not sure I REALLY want/need to spend that money.

Hoping to get a ride in both.

    thanks
