Method Double Standard - 16" doesn't fit Tacoma?

Anyone here swapped out the bolts with black ones?

 

I just took them off and painted them black.

 

Has it held up pretty good?

 

Yup, offroading and washing them paint hasn't come off. I just used Duplicolor black.

 

Did you use spray paint? I need to do this, but I was afraid the paint would come off when I put a socket on them.

 

I asked Method if they would just allow it as an option from the factory, responded no

 

Yeah just spray painted them. Mine didnt come off

I have Stainless bolts from Method. I told them my Stock gold ones tarnished and rusted and they asked if I wanted them again or Stainless. I went with Stainless. I just need to install them, not looking forward to that.

 

How much were they. All of mine have rusted. They come off pretty easy though

 

I didn't pay anything for them... I've had them about a year. Don't know if their policy has changed since then.

 

I'll send them an email to find out. Wish I had known about this sooner

 

So they can get me the stainless bolts, @ $1.25 each... If I remember right, there are 24 bolts for each wheel... so that's $1.25 x 24 = $30 x 4 = $120... And that's if I don't get charged shipping. Hmmmm

 

They fit and Method also offers different color wheel bolts for them now but I like the gold on this Lunar Rock
