To everyone here who has supported me, I thank you!

Thanks to all of YOU, my Pelfreybilt rear is here and it is on! Still have some minor fitting to do but this thing is heavy and hard to position without a second set of hands. I also broke my trailer plug on the last wheeling outing so I'm gonna have to get creative or else get a new plug.

I got this installed last week. I think... The days are a blur. C'est la vie...

Excellent product! Thank you for this.
One tweak, and I think it would make it perfect. Well, 2....
A thinner piece of bar stock that has the 2 threaded holes. 3/16" would be very nice as it will slide under the rib on the back and moving the holes off center on the bar stock will make it easier to take down one corner.

For what I bought to attach to your product required the front edge to be pushed past the front of the dash maybe and 1/8" . I'd push the countersunk holes back a bit..

Again, thank you. What's next? Lol
Let's hope the bumper never gets used as it were.

Can you take a picture of what you're describing with the front edge pushed out? I installed mine last weekend and was about to order those same RAM parts. Don't want to get them if they wont fit. Thanks!

Well, I sure would like a cable actuated ADD...but barring that, maybe I should post pics of the other machined stuff I have done for my truck.

    Never enough
Just wanted to post an update for some of you who expressed interest in my experience with using this mount with a 10" tablet. I have put a couple hundred road miles and about 50 off road miles on this setup now. The mount from @Lostsheep is rock solid. On road this thing is smooth as butter. My off road miles were on mild to moderate forest service roads here in Colorado. Again the lostsheep mount was solid and did not budge. With that being said there is some movement of the tablet due to road imperfections simply because there is roughly 1.5 lbs worth of tablet/RAM components cantilevered out about 8" from the lostsheep mount. The setup is still completely usable and I plan to continue to use it as-is for the foreseeable future. If anything I might try out a shorter RAM arm sometime down the road (current is medium length) to see if shortening the moment arm will reduce tablet movement a bit.

Good to know as I was planning this exact set up with a larger tablet. I think I'll survive if there's a little movement off road!

I will later. The ball with the 1/4x20 stud that I bought to screw into the mount has a nut on the end. If you set the mount flush with the face of the dash you'll ding the dash panel tightening the ball to the mount.

Hole moly this thing is a pain to install. Got one side, but was getting so frustrated with the passenger side that I'll tackle that tomorrow.

    10-32 x 1.0 FLAT SHC

If you remind me next Thursday, I'll just mail you some black oxided ones. I'm gonna be on a dive boat until Wednesday; we got a charter boat going up the Big Sur coast so if all goes well I'll be incommunicado til then. Pretty stoked on this dive trip cause a buddy was nice enough, or crazy enough depending on your vantage, to loan me a dive X piranha :D. It's like a hotrod for divers

Just mounted mine up today. I'd give it a 4 or 5 out of 10 for degree of difficulty to install. Reasons for my rating being:
Popping the left side of the bezel out from behind the instrument cluster was a little sketchy, potential to break something was there(patience is key). I would suggest a slightly over sized drill bit for your holes so that you have a little bit of play to get the screws started in backer plate. When I mocked mine up on the bench I held the brackets out from tight against the hvac control plate as to not hinder lining up later. After i drilled my holes I unstuck the tape and lined the backer plate up with the holes but didn't stick it until i had both screws started, then I knew i could get them lined up when reassembled in the truckI left the screws in the backer plate until I was ready to put the hvac control plate back in. Took me a little while to get all four screws start(which I believe slightly oversized holes would have helped me).
All said and done it is easier than I anticipated based on the instructions and is definitely just the mount I was looking for. It's tidy, very sturdy, and the price point is fair for the quality you get. If you are on the fence, DO IT!!! Now if only Amazon would have sent me a 1" ball like I ordered instead of an 1 1/2" I could really enjoy my new feature.
    Kudos Lostsheep!
