I didn't follow thru with floating beds for butter lettuce. Built the boxes, got the Styrofoam, net pots, seeds, fertilizer, and then had to stop. Forgot I live in deer country. And then all else happens . Don't know when or if I'll ever do now.

Actually I believe so, it was a weird blob thing right? And Captain Kirk has some interaction with it?
If so, I remember when I was little seeing that episode, then wanting to see it again for some weird reason.

Side note... Did you know that William Shatner's face was where the Michael Myers (the movie Halloween) mask came from?

I'll have to look that up..

Haha, yep, most people don't know that. But the "original" mask in the first movie was modeled off his face... You'll have to look the story up, if you want. It is kinda crazy.

Maybe not as impressive as some of you guys, but I'm getting there. To remind you all, around Easter I bought a bunch of plants, including three orange daylillies that looked really just like some tall grass. Before I knew it, they sent up these tall stalks, with some little buds, and then the buds got bigger, and finally they started blooming.

What part of the country do you live in? Never seen those planted in Northern VA, but then again I never noticed daylillies until I started planting them. ;)

The grape vine is very happily growing on the pergola I built a couple months ago.

The five in one tree is only growing peaches this year. I have 9 and they are looking pretty good so far.

    Tomorrow with some flank steak.

Blanching and freezing the rest since we will be away for a few days. That's why I took it all today, won't be here to harvest for a few days and didn't want it to start blooming on me.

That's a good call! Besides a farmers market I'm not sure I've ever had fresh broccoli (and even then it's questionable). I bet its great!

It's good. Plant some next year, or for a fall harvest.

Might have to try. We still have some space in our garden. Not sure how well it would grow here but worth a shot.

Where are you? It's a cool season crop and will flower with soil temps around 70-75 I think. So if you are in a warm area, plant so potential harvest will be during cooler months.

Others please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm no expert.

Reno. It should be fine if that's the case. Doesn't get too hot here.
