July it can get to 120 and be 45 to 50% humidity. If you look at the chart, it doesn't even register, so.........................

It's fuckin titties. Knew that they're prone to carbon build up going into it, and negotiated the price down because it hadn't been cleaned yet. Cleaned it up & threw some injector cleaner through it & its running like a champ!

Wife is down to have all the emissions stuff pulled off it & tune it in the spring.

I doubt it. We went mid August last year and there was still snow. I want to say it opened up 2 weeks before we were there and they got a ton of snow this winter.

Now that I got my plate lights fixed, the itch for a plate rear bumper is fading fast, especially because the budget is tight courtesy of the job hunt taking way longer than expected. One company has me lined up with a pretty promising opportunity but they are dragging their feet for weeks and weeks... need "approval" for the job (and second interview) which is in corporate limbo. :frusty:

I wonder if avid would be able to make some sort of recovery-tow-hook-but-not-quite for my rear bumper than bolted into the frame... @2ndGenJonny ??

    @DukesTaco

Yesterday was day 30 of the Whole30 diet thing. Did no exercise, because I'm lazy & busy.

    Started at 279.1
    Ended at 261.2

    Good experience overall.

Wrote this up on facebook about doing the Whole 30, figured some dudes from the TW AZ fam might want to try it out sometime so, sharing it here:

OK, so was asking / invited to do the Whole 30 diet with our friends. Yesterday was day 30, so I checked out my results this morning (you aren't supposed to get on the scale the entire time).

    Starting weight: 279.1
    Ending weight 261.2
    Total loss: 17.9
    Wif elost 9 lbs too.

Gist of the diet is no grains, no sugars besides whats in fruits / vegetables (no synthetic sugars either!!!), no dairy, no beans, no alcohol. Stay your ass off the scale for 30 days. If you slip up or take a cheat, you have to start over. That's like 98% of the "rules". I agreed to do it without knowing these rules and thought we would have a cheat day each week... WRONG. I was then like, "well at-least it doesn't say paleo in the name or anything"..... come to find out that its basically like strict paleo. Felt weird for sure!

Overall, extremely happy that I manned up and pulled through and stuck with the program. Lost 17.9 pounds, only did cardio on the bike for like 25 minutes one day. The rest, was either too busy, too lazy, or whatever.

Common questions when I tell people about doing it:
-Why are you doing it? Did you see what I started at? 279.1 lbs, that's why! I've always been a bigger dude, but sometimes enough is enough.
-Was it hard? Well, its mentally tough at first. The first few days you seriously think "how am I going to do this?" But then you just pull through and do it. Rach and I were both doing it, so it made it easier. My friend Anthony and his wife Megan were doing it with us, and had done it before with good results, so they were our coaches the first few days, texting us and keeping us on track. Our friend Heather also joined us, so its fun to run into people locally and discuss the highs and lows. (Misery loves company, so recruit a friend).
-What were the hardest parts? The first few days! Seriously, you feel like you snack NON STOP! Like you are seriously NEVER fulfilled /satisfied after you eat & you sit there and crave crap you can't have. About day 3 this starts to go away and you feel full after a meal.
-What all changes with you, besides your weight? I'd say the biggest thing, and the fastest result which you notice at about day 4 is how clear minded you become. I slept better, my thought process was better, and if you know me then you know my mind goes a thousand miles per second.... finally felt like I could keep up with my own thought process.
-What's the biggest change you've seen when you eat? How much I pay attention to labels. No sugars is hard to find in a million products & you start to notice how its in all kinds of things. That and preservatives. I got to the point where if it had more than 5 ingredients, or if I didn't know what something was right off the bat, I would just put it down and not buy / eat that.
-What did I miss the most? At first it was energy drinks, but then you just get used to having coffee (black) and water. I have to say, the one thing that I missed the most, were things that "crunch", bbq sauce when I bbq (they all have sugar), and cheese.
-Come on now, did you cheat? NOPE. Not even a stick of gum! Glad I stuck it out.
-Did it ever get easier? After about a week, it was definitely easier. We measured everything in milestones.... 3 days down, 1 weeks down, 10 days down "we're 33% of the way there!", 15 days down "half way there!". The last 15days on the back end were definitely the easiest. You're used to eating healthy. You're used to the shopping, and you're seeing results.
-Overall, what did you like about it? Losing weight! But seriously, I'm a huge foodie, so it was fun to still eat what I consider good everyday.
-Were you hungry? The first few days you don't feel satisfied. After that, your body gets used to eating a few main meals. I am happy to say that I ate like a king & was only hungry if I didn't eat a meal on time..... the way I describe it to service members / Veterans is that it's like being in bootcamp...... your body is so used to eating lunch at say 12:30 that at 12:15 you're not hungry, at 12:30 you're ready to eat, but if you slack off and don't eat until 12:35, you're STARVING.

Ask me anything about it and I'll try to answer.
