Of the ones I've had.....jalapeno and cheese is WINNING! And the one place, which I don't know, the bread was ever so sweet as to compliment the spicy!

Damn things are good.

 

I want kolaches.

 

So....are Kolaches a Texas thing, or a Houston thing??

Definitely a Texas thing but originally from Eastern Europe. The fruit flavors are actually Kolaches and the ones with meat and cheese are actually called klobasneks I believe but everyone just kind of calls them both Kolaches as a blanket term.

 

Don't confuse the outsider!

 

I had the privilege of trying a true German poppy seed kolache recently. Mighty fine indeed.

There is a company in Texas called Slovak in snook tx? The make pretty good jalapeno sausage. But you can't find the ones with the cheese inside around here.
