I'll be joining. I'd take a Medium shirt if you haven't ordered yet. I'll arrive Friday morning and plan to meet up at the gas station. Got delayed last weekend but I plan to get my CB installed this weekend. I am taking off the last two weeks of June so I'll have time to get it done before hand as long as nothing goes wrong.

Also I was thinking of bringing my dirt bike to hit the Hatfield-McCoy trails on my way down. But wheeling with a dirtbike in the bed doesn't seem like the best idea, although it'll be firmly strapped down :notsure:

Bring a chain and lock it around a tree at camp. The trail out to camp isn't bad, just a few easy water crossings and your typical bouncy bumpies.

Yea I've had one bike stolen out of the back of my truck while it was locked with as big of a chain as HD sold, they couldn't cut the lock, but they cut the chain somehow. Was parked behind a hotel the night before a race and was only there for less than 7 hours

Well, disregard what I said. Since you were bringing a bike to a truck wheeling meet, I assumed you meant dirt bike.

I did mean a dirt bike. I have fond memories of a trip I took in high school to the Hatfield-McCoy trails and they're basically on the way so I was thinking of heading there for a few days ahead of the meet. Also not a great idea to ride by myself so I was having second thoughts due to that in addition to the logistics.

Well that makes sense too! I got crossed up when you said, "big of a chain as HD sold", but now I get that meant Home Depot and not Harley Davidson haha!

-some people are extremely dedicated (fan boy) and buy Harley straps to hold their Harley bikes down.

It's roundabout, but try downloading it as a .kml file then putting it on your phone to open with google earth or something similar?

e: hrm apparently that's difficult. You can write a local webpage to load it up but thats too much work.

I'm planning on making a list of the road names and then downloading the area of the map as an offline area on my phone then looking them up as needed. We will figure something out. If nothing else, there is a little service at the shell station in Slade.
