I think the weight of a topper has more of an effect on mpgs than the shape.

I didn't see any MPG loss when I put my 180 on my DCLB sport.

I lost a few MPG's with a simple Yakima rack with the air dam on my 2nd gen. Anything that "sticks up" will effect the MPG some.

I haven't noticed any difference. I didn't see any change with a roof rack either.

ARE MX series (High Top) definitely affected my MPH. I don't have anything to compare it to other than without a shell. I think it cost me 1.5-2 mph overall. They add on Yakima rack and you hit a bit more.

You can fix your MPH by using the pedal on the right side with your right foot.

Adding weight and adding aerodynamic drag will definitely make your vehicle less efficient. Anyone who tells you otherwise should just sit in the back and not talk. It's always better for people to suspect you are an idiot than to open your mouth (or post) and remove all doubt.

I think just having a full tank of gas with that weight alone will effect your mpgs.

Whitman is who pops in your mind when you think of poetry? Really? Lol just having fun.

ANY weight added, especially unsprung like tires and wheels, will cut into your efficiency. I get a kick out of all the people who add 1500 lbs in crap looking like they are ready to cross Outer Mongolia and then complain about mpgs.

You gotta quote me brosef. I've traveled into Mongolia. With zero armor. But it wasn't my vehicle. I would like a bumper for deer because this front end is just so pretty.
