I'm not interested in any BD products touching my rig. I was just cruising the URD site for an updated UCON and happened to notice the new BD thing.

They probably figured out like we did, that you can't get the TRD flash if you have the ping update.

So to eliminate all the angry ping update customers that said Bully Dog's tune doesn't work, they make you go to Toyota first and let Toyota fade the heat.

It is not a lean condition caused by lack of fuel. It is a lean condition caused by lack of fueling by the ECU i.e. a bad tune. I still am running stock fuel pump and was seeing lean conditions even though I still had 40 psi at fuel rail.

New fuel pump going in this week however, as headers are in my near future.

This may not be the appropriate place to put this, but I do have a Delphi fuel pump for sale. Brand new. $200

    3" Lift; black TRD Wheels; nerf boards; head & foglight upgrades; stereo (OEM head, 2 - 10" subs, rear box, 5 ch - 1500 watt amp) - all hidden; dynamat'd the doors and floor; OEM color tailgate pop-n-lock with automatic lock;
One of my best friends, call sign Norton on TWF, and I installed my Super Charger kit this weekend. Everything went very well. Below are a few notes/recommendations.

    1. Highly recommend having a flexible hose clamp pliers for this job. Found one on Amazon for $13.55, but the price has jumped a bit since.
    2. Step 78: The fan nuts are 12 mm; recommend a normal box-type wrench, the ratchet-type is too large
    3. Step 86: Highly recommend completing steps 107 - 117 prior to completing steps 86 - 106. The radiator fluid in the thermostat water manifold makes a big mess. Extending the water manifold first will keep all the new belts from getting a radiator fluid bath.
    4. Step 86: if you're going to change the serpentine belt, do it here
    5. Step 100: For the main pulley bolt, ensure you have a 1,100 ft-lb, or so cordless impact with a short 22mm impact socket. This will save you a lot of time and energy. I borrowed my neighbors, but will be getting one soonest. Also, for an automatic transmission, like mine, have a pulley holder tool ready to go to torque the new bolt (FYI...it's 23 mm...again, you'll need a short impact socket).
    6. Step 183: I cut a 42 inch section from the 60 inch hose as the step stated, but in order to have access to the hose mender (as pictured in Step 192), I had to shorten the 42 inch section going from the mender to the supercharger. Word to the wise, measure 2, 3, 4 times, cut once.
    7. Steps 210 - 213: Don't waste your time. The MAGNUSON wiring harness is was way too short to reach the fuse box by following these steps. Recommend connecting the pump and fuse box wiring, then figuring out how to secure.
    8. Step 217, or 218: you may need to file down the prong a bit on the 10 AMP fuse provided. Mine was to large.

Other than these notes and recommendations, the install was very straight forward. Good times....

BTW...I had the local Toyota dealership do the TRD flash to my ECU. No problems (of course, I had no previous service on my ECU). The truck runs great!!!!

Thanks everyone for your posts and doing this group buy. Cheers.

    Here's a few pictures.

This was a (mostly) enjoyable and educational project with which I was happy to help. I admit, however, to being a little envious of the easy TRD flash install since mine required ECU replacement.

@COGreenMachine looks great! Good call on the trd flash. You must also take good care to keep the engine bay clean.

HEY! I have been talking with TRD SPARKS and they are in the works of putting together another group buy.

no details yet on dates but they are working it. Hopefully they'll comment in this thread to get all the people that missed the first one, in on this new one!
