I had the same problem, half inch of space on the passenger side but about an 1/8th on the driver side. if you shim the front most bottom bracket and then tighten it all up it will leave you with about 1/2" of space on the driver side. I'll upload pictures later.

I used a stainless steel unistrut square washer. Worked like a charm.

My drivers side is also the same. And I would love a fix for it. But overall I am really loving them. They also did say they were mistake sliders and we got them for about half the cost.

yup exactly so I am not too worried. Just don't want to hit something and have my slider dent the cab.

I found these at home depot would have worked if i painted it and used 2 on the front bolt and 1 on the next bolt but 5 bucks a piece... i think im going to try a industrial metal store today. See if they have scrap aluminum. I wanted 1/2" to an 1" or a finger tip amount of space. To play it safe

You can get a piece of quarter inch by 2 inch flat stock, drill holes in it and cut them into squares.

Looks good. Yeah mine didn't make noise on road but as soon as I got the dirt and rocks it was rubbing. So in grinded the pinch welds. Overall great sliders
