Who is offering that? They are a so called discontinued tire, most with manufacturing dates around 2014, make sure they are true and round, I recently purchased 4 for that price and one of which were flatspotted.

According to general tire they aren't discontinued but are not currently available or showing when/if they will become available again. Tire manufacturers normally do this instead of flat out "deleting" a tire from their product line. The x3 red letters are believed to replace the grabbers if I'm not mistaken.

I am happy with my set, they are quite heavy and are definitely a desert tire but seeing that's where I live I am content with that.. not trying to discourage you from purchasing them, I think you will enjoy them, just want to inform you of my experience so far! In the end they still look badass too

Ya I did cab mount chop and flattened the pinch weld before mounting them, had to remove the bottom most fender attachments on front and back of the front wheel well, also heat gun the fender liners out of the way. I still have a small amount of rubbing on some plastic when turning up a steep driveway that I have to pin point but I'm pretty close to done chopping I believe. I still need to fully stuff the front and back to see if I need new bump stops or if I need to add spacers to them.

I have a 2017 trd sport and i was asking around about tires. Somebody told me that if let's say your old tire set up is the stock 265/65/R17 and you wanna upgrade to the 265/70/r17 all terrain tires, you don't have to do allignment since it's the same 265.

Is there truth to this one? Can somebody please enlighten me? Thanks in advance.

Would also like to know if everyone is getting alignments after switching to 265/70/17 or 265/75/16 tires?

I just got off phone with a local tire shop who will be mounting & balancing and switching my stock TPMS to new set up.
He said that I would not need an alignment since my truck is not lifted and not a major jump in tire size. However, I have a SR5 and my current set is sized 245/75/16 (mini van tires). True?

How much are y'all paying for mount & balance and swapping TPMS units?
    Discount Tire quoted: around $90
Local Tire Shop quoted: $15 per tire so $60
    Dealership quoted: freaking $200????!!!????

    I
I have a friend that is tire center manager at Walmart. They have all new equipment with wheel protection. $15 per tire is the usual charge for the service including tpms swap. I never have to pay that but that is still very reasonable. You DO NOT need alignment for 265/70/17 tires. Check your local Walmarts and see if they have the newest machines. You cannot beat their prices.

you don't need an alignment unless the suspension has been changed whether it's due to a lift or whacking a curb.

If you don't have improper tire wear at the present time then you're fine.
