Crap, no. I got busy and forgot. Now it's too cold out to wash the truck. Let me see what I can come up with.

Do you think your side caps, when available, would help with the oem tonneau leaking issues many of us have? I don't think the cover seals well due to the texture and groves in the stock rail caps.

It should definitely help. The steel is a good sealing surface.

Will you have a package deal for the sides and rear as a combo price? Also with the side rails, would they be strong enough to mount your crossbars to? I have a bed cover (retrax) and i would be cool to mount the brackets right to the cap rail.

    Yes in the package deal.

The crossbars don't mount to the side rail caps, so I'm not sure what you mean.

I realize that, but are the side caps strong enough to create a new bracket that could attach to the caps? Maybe a cheap/simple and possibly stronger bracket that doesn't need to go all the way down into the bed (for those with bed covers). Just a thought.

We have some crossbars that are designed just for that. Have you seen them?

The final prototype is in the hands of the laser cutter. We will test fit to make sure we nailed it, and then they will go into production. The total time for that process is about one month.

Is the TWGATECAP coupon code still valid for these? Is the package deal going to reflect any savings...aka, should I wait until you release the side caps and order them all together?

That promo code is only valid for the 2nd gen cap.

When we release the 3rd side rail caps, there will be a package deal.

The aluminum tailgate cap weighs about 6 pounds.

We did a steel prototype out of 1/8" steel, and it was way too heavy. Like 19 pounds.

I agree about the countersunk screws...it would be a really nice touch (and worth an extra $5-10 to me)...and coming from the software world, everything needs a 2.0 version...:) I would probably buy the bed rail protection package anyway, but you don't have them for the LB yet. Maybe by the time you do the side rails for long beds, version 2.0 will be out. :D

Anyway, it looks like a great product...appreciate the effort you are putting in.
