Too much camping luxury Bryan. You need to be roughing it in the great outdoors like Jimmy. Lol.

Does anyone have a nice lead on a decent MIG setup like a Miller 211? Found one in Tomsriver on Craigslist, but no response.
I no longer have access to the power required for my old shop set-up.

Tractor Supply matched prices with Cyberweld on the Hobart 210 MVP which is similar to the Miller 211 except for tap voltage settings vs infinite settings on the 211.

If you only have access to 110v, then the Hobart 140 might be a better option. It's a lot less expensive. And still on sale at TSC

I have an old Lincoln TIG 350 that works best with 3 Phase and requires a 125amp circuit in single phase. My home panel is 100 :anonymous:
The 350 is not MIG capable as far as I can tell anyway. The Lincoln PowerMIG 210 and Miller 215 are temping me...

I'm ignorant of such things, but that sounds like something to investigate after running a separate service to the garage. I'm also getting impatient. Want to glue on my DMZ and frame box now!

I looked up the specs on that machine. Can draw up to 148 amps @ 220v. Holy hell. Perhaps a bit much for normal.fabrication. And a phase converter is at best 90% effecient, so looking at at least 163 amps with a rotary converter. And it is three phase only.
And need a forklift to move it.

It's 1 phase capable. But yeah, I think a small MIG is in order. I just looked up a 30Amp output phase converter for this kind of equipment - $600

I used a pickup, engine hoist and two friends to bring it home from my old shop. Maybe it will run again one day...

You should come to Rausch. Oh wait he's scared of pin stripes. :p Tell him he needs to NFG more.

Any luck on research here? I am in the same boat, looking to replace my leaky loose rack real soon. Trying to figure out which refurbished racks are best, have you seen the AAE (Atlantic Automotive Engineerinf) out of North Carolina. Looks like a legit operation. I am debating wether a new oem rack is worth the additional $.
