I've had the Nitto G2's for a while now, they were great in the beginning. Wore like a dream the first couple years. Now that they have over 40K miles on them I can see the wear big time (down to 8/32 tread life) and the road noise damn near puts me to sleep at 75-80mph. They never were great for road noise now that I think of it. Excellent off road for anything I ever did with them. Never had them in snow, only icy blacktops and they did ok. If I had to do it over again I probably would go with something different just because of cost and road noise. In my opinion :D

Here is a map: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/cheeseburger-loop-nw-houston-montgomery.997149/ There are others available as well if you search cheeseburger loop in google. As for speed, these are dirt roads and some forest service roads so I am assuming we will be running 25-40MPH. I havent done this route but am guessing based on videos I have seen.

As for catch up spots, I feel we will pass spots we want to take pics and what not and that should provide catch up spots. We could work out these details closer to the time as well.

So, there are 2 loops for sure where they did 1 each over 2 days. I say we do the first part of the soft roaders route for day 1 up till we hit Llanos in Mason. After this, I feel we do the big loop section from the Day 2 route. I am working on a map showing this. I hope to have it ready early next week.

As of right now, I'm out for both these trips unfortunately...I will be out of town first 5 days of July. Then the following weekend I don't think I can swing 2 whole days of Tacoing with the gf. She is leaving for a trip a few days after that for 2-3 weeks and I will have plenty of time the 2nd half of July. I will be there for T&T though!

Yes sir! I was thinking of doing it for $500 and just make my money back on it. I have the plastic laid flat so it doesn't get hot and crack.

I will probably go with a less aggressive AT next time I get tires, I do 90% of my driving on the highway so something with a little less road noise. It'd be nice to have 2 sets, an off road set and on road set . Future goals

I know what you mean I got these with the rims I bought. I got a killer deal so couldn't pass it up plus my old tires were starting to show some signs of hardness.

I've got 2 sets of wheels/tires and I'm really glad for it. I've got a set of 285/75/17 Nitro Trail Grappler MT that are loud as hell as my trail wheels and then a set of 265/70/17 KO's as daily wheels. Still good tread in case I want to run to the beach or something but saves my gas mileage, rides smoothly, and isn't loud on the freeway.

When I first got my truck, the plan was to get a soft topper and put a rack over it (all pro over soft topper rack) for my RTT. I still think those soft toppers look great but my plans slightly changed! I am still so very tempted to get this but that 500 would be just over half of what I need to get some new wheels for a future upgrade to 285s. The other question i have is around if a 2nd gen topper would fit a 3rd gen bed. So, however tempted I am, I will have to pass. Good luck with the sale, I dont think you will have any problems selling.
