They tend to be heavy as well.

I have some access to carbon fiber. Thinking of making the slide or some components of the drawers out of it.

Drawer project is about to start. I'm going to grab a goose gear plate to give a solid flat surface once I'm done building the drawers and just mount my drawer system to it. Hoping to integrate a sub box into it so my sub isn't loose anymore. Also thinking of making a secondary battery compartment built in, but not sure. I need to decide if I want a second battery.

Also think I'm going to be making a drawer system for my buddy's jeep and another guys Tacoma. Should be cool, and a fun project. It's so much easier for tacomas and jeeps since you already have a pretty flat surface to bolt the drawers too.

Envious, been plotting my drawer system for months now just haven't started due to not currently having access to all of my tools. Might be able to get some good information from this thread I started a while back if you haven't nailed everything out yet here.
I feel your pain, I just had surgery on the 2nd and am still very much in the recovery of it all. 100% a huge burden on my recent plans as I didn't know just how gnarly recovery was going to be. Hopefully yours is a breeze :fingerscrossed:

Grey Box is husky box 18" wide, 15" tall.

Blue box is entire platform: 18" tall, 42" wide.

Fun little things added thanks to @GHOST SHIP helping me through the injury lol

    Quick release fire extinguisher added.

Also the red thing next to the antenna is a quick release whip mount for a flag. Hoping to go to pismo a few times this year and I had extra space so I thought why not?

Love my Drake Quick Release Fire Extinguisher Mount. Make sure you take the pin side out with an Allen wrench and put lock tight on it mine wiggled itself out.

Plans on making compartments in the drawer or are you just wanting to make it a dump box? Might be cool to create compartments inside the drawer to better itemize and organize everything

Actually not doing a drawer. Just a slide on that side that I can strap an action packer or similar tote to. I live in an apartment and my car is far away so it will be easier to pack a tote and carry it down to the car than bringing loose items.
