Why go all the way to Wyoming when the eclipse here in Denver will be >90%? I'm going to be the goofball standing out in the parking lot of my office building wearing my welding helmet and staring at the sun. No wonder people think I'm weird...

I want to, so keep me posted if you get anything planned. Might be worth asking the Wyoming peeps again. I asked a few months ago and they didn't seem to keen on the idea. The Tetons would be amazing but that whole area is going to be packed for the event.

Hotels have been booked for years... The govt has been prepping for the influx of people for a few years now. They are estimating anywhere from 250-500k people are planning to head there. The population of Wyoming is only 500k.

Why is everyone flocking to Wyoming? There is a path of 100% eclipse that goes from coast to coast across the United States. There should be nothing special about Wyoming.

Let me know if you actually head that way, I might be in for a trip. The Black Hills is my stompin' grounds.

From what I've heard, wy is where it'll be best. But i haven't looked into it at all other than the crazy amount of people flocking there.

Will be great when there is 100% Cloud cover and thus no eclipse peeking. Nothing like last minute decision FTMFW.

There are some alright trails in the hills - nothing very long, though, and certainly not like CO.

WY is supposed to have the best view, plus ideally less people and less light from cities to ruin it. Campgrounds/hotels/even people rentin campers are all booked up. You are now required by the state to get a permit to rent your camper to people for it. Its insane.
