Truck rpm Guage is as you know not perfect. So on my way to the docs, I set cruise for 80 and got this... 20170615_094824.jpg

    It fluctuated down to 2755...

Ok.. let's beat this horse some more ..

4.56 vs 4.88 on my truck with plans to go to 34's and only adding more weight... 35's are honestly irrelevant because I have no idea if I'm going to those.. don't plan on it, but who knows.

    I imagine to be right around 2500 to 2600 with 34's and 4.88's cruising at 80. And 2400-2500 with 4.56's at 80.

Maybe a couple hundred rpm's higher with my current 33's

John is on 35's, and according to his scanguage thing at 80mph he is at 2800 Rpms. I'm thinking you would be higher than that.

I'm honestly considering 4.56 with my 35s. According to the internet that's nearly stock for me. Not sure I want to listen to my exhaust at 2800 rpms on road trips

I drive like that a lot to begin with, leaving it in 4th. Doesnt bother me..because there really isnt a drone. I went through that hell of getting the exhaust tamed down, so its good to go.

THAT... is the main reason im thinking of 4.88's.. the performance side of it.. but.. is that little bit of use worth the trade off daily driving it?

I'm a long way from Deer Valley so I can't put eyes on the vehicle for you, but after looking over the Jeep you pointed out I'd suggest that whoever goes to see it checks to see if it's an original Arizona vehicle and not an import. If it was originally sold in Arizona, and it's spent its lifetime in the Valley and not on wet salted icy roads somewhere, then the frame and undercarriage will be in good shape, and that's critical.

Short of verifying that detail plus any others that may pop up, that Jeep looks good! Amazing how much alike the '06 Jeep X and my lifted '93 Wrangler look.

Gotta love Jeep for making a good thing and sticking with it all these decades!..

4.88 because fuck it. There's almost 0 height difference between 35's and 34's because the variance in tire size is at least half an inch between makes

I just dont want to run high rpms all the time daily driving this thing..

The more I think about it, I think the 4.88's are too much. 4.56's will already be an upgrade and help out.. and will be a good medium.
