Hey everyone, the wife and I are heading up to Estes Park June 23-26. I know Old Fall River Road is listed a closed, opening Early July. I guess I'm holding out hope that it will open early for some reason, didnt know if there is anyone on here, or have been up there recently that would lean towards thinking this could actually be a possibility? I know there are other trails outside of town, but for a Stock Taco Sport I know OFRR is a great route to take, especially with the wife to get up trail ridge in the end.

Anyways, long shot, just thought I'd ask.

    Thanks

I went up that trail in a rental car (VW Jetta). This was in September 2015, so not sure if you consider that recent or not.

Great views, but it's not going to challenge you at all ... FYI.

Coloradoan here. We've gotten a lot of spring snow this season, and even with the warmer weather, most trails above tree line are still overwhelmed with snow. I've been calling around different ranger stations and this seems to be pretty common across the northern half of the state. So, I'm not entirely surprised that they are opening late.
